"King..." A mental message entered Green's mind. The Phoenix before him had begun communicating with him of its own accord!
Feeling that the Balance Law's test had yet to descend, Green immediately began asking questions.
"What did the transformation feel like? Is anything bothering you now?" Brief and to the point, Green asked about the most important things.
"King, during the transformation, I felt groggy and had no awareness of the outside world. There's nothing wrong with me now, but the sudden surge in power has left me feeling terribly empty!" The Phoenix answered Green earnestly.
Listening to the Phoenix's answer, Green nodded thoughtfully.
Had the rapid increase in power caused it to lose control and understanding of its own strength, with its control over that power declining in step?
The thought occurred to Green.
Before Green could think it through, a black cavern suddenly appeared in the world.
"It's here!" Green's pupils contracted, and he retreated.
If he accidentally got involved in the test brought on by the Balance Law, the Phoenix would have no chance of passing.
The Phoenix sensed something was wrong and turned its head, staring fixedly at the black cavern.
"Hiss!!!"
A hoarse, low sound came from within the cavern. A gale laced with extreme cold surged out with it.
The frigid air swept across the ground in an instant, bringing a bone-chilling temperature. Dark clouds quickly gathered overhead, and fist-sized hailstones came crashing down.
"Screee!"
The Phoenix cried out as fierce flames erupted from its body. The sky, once blanketed in dark clouds, split in two.
One side was bright with sunlight; the other, shrouded in gloom.
A rustling sound came from the cavern. Before Green's eyes, it continued to expand until it was ten thousand meters across.
Feeling the power that warped spacetime
