After learning the news, Green returned to his villa with his mind at ease. Only one apprentice could take a hunting assignment, so he would not encounter any other Black Wizard Apprentices. Still, he strengthened the warning sorcery around his villa. With the Chip scanning as well, his safety was assured.

A month later, Green sat in the study of his mountaintop villa, leafing through a thick book. In his white clothes, he looked almost no different from an ordinary man. But beneath the fabric, his slightly bulging muscles hinted at the power his body held.

Since Mance's attack, Green had stayed in the villa and rarely gone out.

"Sigh." Green sighed softly and closed the book.

"Still nothing worth studying!" Frustration flickered across Green's face. This was the last book in all of Wither City he had yet to read. He had come here for two things: to advance and to study the Holy Knight.

Since advancing, Green had devoted himself almost entirely to research. Yet with the Chip's help, he had discovered for the first time that moving too quickly was not always a good thing. He could still make progress with the Extreme Meditation Method, but the time he could spend meditating each day was limited. His study of the Holy Knight had to wait for Alicia to grow stronger. For a while, Green actually found himself with nothing to do.

He lacked the means to begin a new line of research, either. Too few materials were available here. Even when Green had an idea, putting it into practice was difficult.
