Ch. 1261Interference
Plot points and events
- Green warns Tai Yagami that his younger sister is the Eighth Child and will be in danger unless Tai becomes strong enough to protect her.
- He explains that Koromon’s altered evolution path could lead to a world-rivaling ultimate form, but it requires absolute mutual resolve. Tai and Koromon may need to swallow a Dark Crystal and a Light Crystal, enduring unbearable pain for immense power—or be destroyed.
- Tai takes the crystals, recognizing that he may eventually have no choice but to use them. Green then ends their strange, time-bending encounter. Tailmon and Little Demon Beast, whom Green had knocked unconscious, recover as Tai carries them home.
- Back on his throne, Green discovers that Anti-Evolution Power is disrupting the world’s flow of information and making evolution harder for all Digital Beasts. It has broken through Homeostasis’s Firewall and is fueled by resentment from failed evolutions.
- The Dark Four Heavenly Kings are gaining the upper hand: the Anti-Evolution Power strengthens them and weakens the Four Holy Beasts, whose seal is close to holding them. Homeostasis responds by extending the Firewall inward, aiming to isolate regions and limit the Dark forces’ advance.
- Green approves of Homeostasis’s effort to buy the Chosen Children time, but rejects its plan because the Firewall would obstruct his own conquest and larger ambitions.
Character developments and interactions
- Tai shifts from confusion to a serious acceptance of responsibility for his sister. His caution remains, but he keeps the crystals and anticipates needing them.
- Koromon shares the dangerous possibility of a new evolution with Tai; their power depends on the strength of their bond and shared resolve.
- Green acts as both adviser and manipulator: he gives Tai a potential path to power, yet leaves the decision—and its deadly risks—to him. He also closely monitors the global crisis and pursues his own agenda.
- Homeostasis is shown as a strategic opponent of the Dark forces, trying to buy time by isolating regions, though its plan conflicts with Green’s interests.
Significant themes
- Power and sacrifice: Extraordinary strength may require enduring pain and risking annihilation.
- Courage and responsibility: Tai’s likely future choice is tied to protecting his sister and growing into his role.
- Evolution versus resentment: The hatred of those whose evolutions failed now actively impedes evolution itself.
- Competing agendas: Green and Homeostasis both seek to shape the world, but their goals diverge.
