Below them, Alice turned pale as she heard those words.

A blood-red glint flashed in the Instructor's eyes.

A moment later, Alice's eyes turned crimson.

She reached up and seized her own throat.

Ilis, beside her, jumped in fright and grabbed her arm. "Alice, what's wrong?"

"She's under a spell," Leo said. He caught both of Alice's hands, trying to stop her.

Leo was stronger, and he managed to pull her hands away.

The Instructor looked at him. "Young Wizard, this is a negotiation between Formal Wizards. You have no place interfering."

Leo and Ilis suddenly felt something restrain their bodies, freezing them in place.

But the restraint vanished in an instant.

Saffi said calmly, "Kill my daughter if you like, but not him. He's still useful to me."

The Instructor narrowed his eyes slightly. "Then your daughter can die."

As he spoke, Alice's hands clamped tightly around her throat.

Moments later, her head lolled to one side and she collapsed to the ground.

Saffi still did not move.

Only after Alice fell did Saffi speak. "Had enough fun? Then it's my turn."

The Instructor suddenly frowned and looked back at Kyle.

Kyle's eyes had rolled back, and white foam spilled from his mouth. Struggling, he reached toward the Instructor. "Mentor, save me..."

The next moment, Kyle lost consciousness and fell from the sky into the sea.
