Background
Leo is a transmigrated soul inhabiting the body of Leo Danville, a Prossian warrior. His original body belonged to a servant-warrior of a Sogla count's heir; after refusing to bully weaker people and accidentally killing the heir with a slap, he became wanted by the count and fled aboard a wizard ship. His homeland, the Pross Kingdom, had already fallen to the Sogla Empire, leaving him few routes to survival. 1
Aboard the ship, Leo discovers the Refinement Compendium, an ability carried over from his previous life that records and improves codices. He uses the Intermediate Meditation Method supplied to ship passengers to increase his cultivation efficiency. Although he tests as having Level 3 spiritual aptitude, Wizard Lane rejects him solely for his Prossian appearance. 1
Wizard Nova verifies Leo's aptitude and Potionology potential, then brings him to the Tower of Dawn rather than allowing him to be sent back to the continent. No gathering initially wishes to accept a Prossian student, but Sally agrees to temporarily guide him at the Esmond Gathering. Leo also incurs a debt to Nova, who explicitly considers his assistance an investment in Leo's future. 3 4
Appearance
Leo has the imposing build typical of a Prossian warrior, making him physically conspicuous among wizard seedlings.
- Approximately 2.2 meters tall. 1
- Short silver-white hair, a defining Prossian trait. 1
- Exceptionally strong physique, even by ordinary human standards. 1 14
- Usually wears a Tower of Dawn identification badge; it displayed a silver base and rank 7 when first issued. 14
Personality
Leo is studious, observant, and unusually patient for someone with a warrior's body and background. He spends most of his early time at the Esmond Gathering meditating, later showing the same focus when studying Potionology and Magitech Studies. His love of reading earns Nova's personal approval. 6 29 30
He pursues power aggressively but is not reckless without preparation. Before accepting the Stonefish hunt, he researches knight orders and sea monsters, negotiates an advance payment and the right to withdraw, and purchases an Eyeball Cube for reconnaissance. 22 23
Leo is also pragmatic toward wizarding hierarchy. He remains respectful before stronger figures such as Nova, Sally, and Esmond, but he does not allow status alone to intimidate him once he understands the principles behind a power. He refuses Sono's offer to join the Uriel Gathering because Lane belongs to it, despite the promised thousand Magic Stones. 9 16 42
Abilities & Skills
Refinement Compendium
Leo's unique compendium can record codices and spend Refinement Points to improve their quality, accelerating his mastery of meditation methods, spell models, Potionology knowledge, and Magitech Studies. 1 7
- Recorded the Intermediate Meditation Method immediately after receiving it aboard the wizard ship. 1
- Refined the Intermediate Meditation Method to high quality, improving his meditation efficiency. 10
- Earns Refinement Points by mastering codices, including 200 points from the ordinary Basic Meditation Method Codex. 35
- Improving codex quality can increase an ability's power while reducing spiritual-energy consumption. 14
- The compendium improves learning efficiency, but does not fundamentally change his innate spiritual aptitude. 39
Meditation and Spiritual Seed
Leo uses the Intermediate Meditation Method as his primary cultivation technique. Its enhanced efficiency allows him to accumulate spiritual energy at a rate sufficient to rank seventh among his year's wizard seedlings. 10
- Reached 10 spiritual energy, the baseline required to condense a Spiritual Seed. 35
- Successfully condensed his Spiritual Seed with the aid of a Dawn Arcane Potion. 39
- After becoming a Wizard, his meditation efficiency increases further and his spellcasting consumption drops dramatically. 40
- Can release and consciously restrain Mental Radiation, though his uncontrolled radiation initially causes discomfort to wizard seedlings. 40 47
Arcane Hand
Arcane Hand condenses spiritual energy into manipulable physical forms. It is Leo's most developed combat spell and is tied to his Basic Spell Model codex. 7
- Forms weapons including longswords, greatswords, spears, and a trident-like construct. 7 32 41
- Creates nets to restrain opponents. 36 40
- Can form defensive or utility constructs such as gloves and shields. 14 41
- Leo understands how manifested spiritual energy produces corrosive ripples and can choose whether to release the effect. 14
- His corroding Arcane Hand constructs can damage solid surfaces and were vital against the Stonefish. 27 32
- Achieved a 40-point Arcane Hand assessment, placing third in that test. 11
Basic Body Fortification
A foundational Battle Mage spell that uses spiritual energy to enhance the body's strength, speed, and defense. Leo's Prossian body is naturally suited to this style. 14
- Initially boosts his physical capabilities by roughly one to two times. 14
- Early use lasts only about ten seconds and severely depletes his spiritual energy. 14
- Combined with Arcane Hand, it lets him kill two Stonefish and later overwhelm Grand Knight Aifel. 32 41
- Began cultivating the stronger Super Body Fortification Spell after consuming a high-quality Withered Wood Potion. 25
Potionology
Leo chooses Potionology despite Sally's expectation that his Prossian physique would make him better suited to combat research. His compendium and refined Arcane Hand control make him highly capable at handling ingredients. 12 24
- Identified and selected a perfect-quality Fish-Fragrant Herb. 17
- Easily harmonized Fish-Fragrant Herb during his first Potionology lesson. 19
- Uses Mental Force Sorting Method with the precision Sally associates with an experienced potion master. 24
- Brewed a Withered Wood Potion and later used a high-quality version to fortify his body. 24 25
- Intends to develop Starter Potion formulas for his Wizard profession assessment. 49
Magitech Studies
Nova encourages Leo to consider Magitech Studies as an additional discipline and lends him Basic Magitech Studies. Leo learns that spells, Potionology, and magitech all rely on mental energy reacting with material media. 29 30
- Uses an Eyeball Cube for shipboard surveillance during the Stonefish hunt. 31 32
- Mastered the inferior Basic Magitech Studies Codex. 40
- Attempted to forge a defensive item by combining a Stone Sea Dragon Scale with his shirt, but lacked sufficiently advanced knowledge and materials. 40
Falling Pebble
A spell that increases an object's falling speed rather than its mass. Leo develops insight into its true mechanism while experimenting on a coin. 39
- Can cast the spell despite not yet understanding its spell medium. 39
- Leo considers it of limited practical value in its current form. 39
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Tower of Dawn identification badge — Displays his gathering, dynamic student-ranking tier, and numerical rank; Leo's badge initially becomes silver with the number 7. 14
- Eyeball Cube — A low-cost magitech reconnaissance tool purchased for two Magic Stones; used to monitor the sea around the knight ship. 23 31
- Prismatic Dragon Scale — A rare Rainbow Dragon scale recovered from a Stonefish. It detects malice and may serve as a valuable future spell medium. 32 33 37
- Stone Sea Dragon Scales — Four defensive dragon scales recovered from the Stonefish. Leo experiments unsuccessfully with using one in a defensive magitech item. 33 40
- Sinking Dream Potion — A gift from Esmond that can rapidly increase a Wizard's spiritual energy; valued at three thousand Magic Stones. 45 46
- Dawn Arcane Potion — Gifted by Tesla and consumed by Leo to help condense his Spiritual Seed. 13 39
- Sealed letter for Aikesi — Esmond's letter, stored within Leo's body and readable only by Wizard Aikesi. 45
- Remote Spell Classes card — Grants access to Tower of Dawn spell courses. Leo uses it to select the Knight Puppet Spell, Pumpkin Carriage Spell, and Potato Mine Spell courses. 48 49

- Wizard Sally — Teaching assistant and Leo's primary guide in the Esmond Gathering. She recognizes his potential, supports his studies, and reprimands him for secretly accepting the sea-monster mission. 3 25 45 46
- Wizard Tesla — Esmond Gathering teaching assistant who gives Leo a Dawn Arcane Potion and advises him on sea monsters, combat, and the Nova Title. 13 22
- Chris — Fellow Esmond Gathering student and close companion. Chris admires Leo's talent, accompanies him to the Woodpecker Hut, and remains friendly after Leo becomes a Wizard. 17 20 45
- Molly — Fellow student. Leo shares his experience condensing a Spiritual Seed and agrees to teach her Mental Radiation for two Magic Stones. 47
- Kaipusen Hughes — Fellow Wizard Seedling who joins Leo on the Stonefish voyage. Leo protects him during the knight uprising and they jointly accept Esmond's deal. 41 43 44
- Wizard Lane — The prejudiced wizard who rejects Leo despite his Level 3 aptitude because he is Prossian. Leo later refuses to join the Uriel Gathering partly because Lane belongs to it. 1 9
- Knight Aifel — Employer for the Stonefish hunt. Aifel comes to respect Leo after the hunt, but later attacks while affected by the Siren's song and is killed by Leo. 22 32 41
- Kairila — Aifel's deputy. Initially dismissive of Leo as an unseeded wizardling, she revises her opinion after witnessing his Mental Radiation and Stonefish kills. 26 27 32
- Esmond — Formal Wizard and missing mentor of the Esmond Gathering. He forces Leo and Hughes into a deal to deliver letters to Aikesi, then sends them back to the Tower of Dawn. 42 43 45
