The wizard was greatly startled and failed to react in time.
A knight's lance pierced straight through his chest.
Frandi's eyes widened. "Mentor Leo, why do the armor on these Sky Knights feel somewhat similar to your research into the Exoskeletal Spell-Absorption Device?"
Leo did not answer. He cast the Pumpkin Carriage Spell, swiftly arriving beside the wizard and grabbing his body in one motion.
Leo flung the wizard's injured body behind him. "Use a healing spell on him first."
After saying that, Leo turned his gaze toward the Sky Knights before him and declared righteously, "There is something strange about these knights. Let me try. All of you, fall back."
With that, Leo began casting spells.
Blazing Lava, Multi-Stage Cutting... all kinds of ordinary spells poured forth as if they cost nothing.
Yet when those spells landed upon the Sky Knights equipped with Exoskeletal Spell-Absorption Devices, they naturally failed to stir even the slightest ripple.
The other wizards behind him were greatly shocked by the sight as well.
They had never imagined that a day would come when wizards would be helpless against knights.
A trace of confusion flashed through Frandi's eyes.
To him, these Demon Armors truly looked very much like the Exoskeletal Spell-Absorption Devices Leo had previously given him.
After his spells proved ineffective, Leo warned the other Wizard Apprentices, "There is something strange about these Sky Knights. Be careful, and try not to let them get close."
With Leo as an example, the Wizard Apprentices also consciously widened the distance between themselves and the knights before casting their spells.
Yet without exception, all of their spells were absorbed by the Demon Armor.
"Our spells are useless. How are we supposed to keep fighting like this?"
Frandi said, "Let me do it."
"Since ordinary spells do not
