Pella moved quickly. In less than two hours, she had contacted the auction house.
"Wizard Leo, the auction house wants to verify whether your Ink Gold is genuine."
"Fine. I'll head over now."
The person in charge of the auction house was a plump First-Rank Wizard Apprentice.
When he saw Leo, he looked him up and down before saying, "Wizard Leo, I've long heard of your great name. Although I personally admire powerful Wizards like you, our auction house's rules do not allow us to auction counterfeit goods."
Like Pella, he clearly did not believe Leo could produce genuine Ink Gold. He believed Leo merely wanted to use this method to delay Beckum's advancement to Formal Wizard.
Leo was not angered. Instead, he took out a fist-sized piece of metal from his Spatial Storage Bag.
Leo placed the metal before the plump Wizard.
The plump Wizard picked up the metal and examined it carefully.
A flicker of astonishment appeared on his round face.
"This is actually genuine Ink Gold... Wizard Leo, where did you find it?"
Leo said, "I found it earlier in the Crimson Sea. There was only this one piece, but luckily, it is just enough for one person to advance from Wizard Apprentice to Formal Wizard."
The plump Wizard's expression became rather subtle. He said, "Wizard Leo, your Ink Gold must be genuine. That means the Ink Gold in Beckum's hands should be fake."
Leo merely smiled without speaking.
A gloating look appeared on the plump Wizard's round face. "Because Wizard Beckum obtained this final chance to advance, he has been strutting about with his head held high lately, convinced that he will definitely become a Formal Wizard."
"Yet becoming a Formal Wizard is hardly so easy."
"And now, even the Ink Gold in his hands is
