Return to the Tower of Dawn, the Angry Wizard Sally

"This is a letter I wrote myself."

"When you meet Wizard Aikesi, you can take it out and give it to him. Once he reads it, he will understand the whole story."

Leo and Hughes held out their hands. The moment their fingers touched the envelopes, the envelopes flashed and flowed into their bodies.

Hughes was startled at once.

Leo, however, was already accustomed to the wonders of Wizards. Within his body was an unfamiliar spiritual energy, and that spiritual energy was the letter.

With a thought from Leo, the letter appeared in his hand.

Leo asked, "Wizard Esmond, can I normally keep it somewhere else?"

Leo always felt that keeping this thing hidden in his mind would be rather frightening.

Esmond smiled and said, "You can. Other than Wizard Aikesi, no one else can open these two letters. Even if a Formal Wizard tries to read them, they will automatically destroy themselves."

"Alright, do you have any other questions?"

Leo and Hughes shook their heads.

Esmond then took out a vial of potion containing a wine-red liquid. He said, "Leo, this is a Sinking Dream Potion. It can help Wizards at your stage rapidly increase their spiritual energy. This has nothing to do with the transaction; it is my gift to congratulate you on becoming a Wizard."

Leo was somewhat puzzled upon hearing this.

He did not understand why Esmond had suddenly taken out a potion to give him as a congratulatory gift. Were they that close? Or was this some kind of custom among Wizards?

Esmond said, "As for why I am giving you this as a gift, you will naturally find out in the future. It is not convenient for me to reveal it now."

Leo put away the potion and said, "Thank you for your gift."

Although Leo accepted the potion, whether he would use it or not could wait until later.

According to what Wizard Sally had said, drinking potions carelessly could bring severe side effects.

Esmond smiled and said, "Then I will send you back."

"This is a first-ring spell, Return Voyage."

"It will send you back to the Tower of Dawn."

A massive current of air wrapped around Leo and Hughes, lifting them into the sky.

Esmond watched as their figures grew blurrier and blurrier, murmuring, "I hope they can do it."

A faint curve rose at the corner of Esmond's mouth.

Hughes cried out, "Leo, save me! Are we going to stay like this all the way to the Tower of Dawn? Before we get there, I'll freeze so badly I'll shit myself!"

Leo said, "Bear with it. We'll be there soon."

Leo was not affected much. Compared to Hughes, his Prossian physique was quite resistant to the cold.

As they flew over the waves, Leo suddenly looked down.

He discovered a knight warship below battling a sea monster.

Among them, Leo saw the familiar figure of Kairila. He thought to himself, After Aifel's death, Kairila should become the new squad leader, right?

That thought merely flickered through Leo's mind before the current of air carried him onward, speeding toward the Tower of Dawn.

Along the way, Leo could always see many knight ships on the sea.

Those knight ships were hunting sea monsters everywhere.

The two of them flew from the afternoon until the sky gradually darkened.

Hughes said awkwardly, "Leo, I really can't hold it anymore. Are we there yet?"

Leo said, "We're already here. Look, the port we set out from is up ahead."

"Oh, right, right! Great, we're finally here!" Hughes was overjoyed.

For Hughes, this voyage had truly been a rather unpleasant experience.

If not for Leo, Hughes might very well have been killed on the way back by the crazed Grand Knight Aifel.

Leo and Hughes gradually approached the ground.

Sally had explained this ray of light before.

Leo and Hughes both had badges, so they would be identified as allies.

Their figures slowly descended to the ground.

The moment he landed, Hughes clamped his legs together and said, "Leo, I can't hold it in anymore! Let's talk when we have time!"

With that, Hughes ran off like the wind.

Leo shrugged, then returned to Esmond Lodge.

When he arrived at his room, Leo saw the Lizardman who took care of him.

"Mr. Leo, you've finally returned."

The Lizardman wore a bitter smile as he said, "Wizard Sally has been asking me every day whether you were back."

Leo said, "Alright, I'll go see her tomorrow."

Leo could already imagine how angry Sally would be over him accepting the knights' hunting mission.

Leo then asked the Lizardman whether anything had happened at the Esmond Gathering during the two days he had been away.

The Lizardman's answer was that it was still the same as usual, and nothing major had happened.

Leo returned to his room and rested for a while.

The next day, just as Leo got up, Chris's booming voice came from outside the door.

"Leo, I heard you're back!"

Leo opened the door and said, "Hello, Chris."

"Leo, you've finally returned." Chris was delighted when he saw Leo, but then he said, "Why do you feel strange?"

Leo said, "Because I became a Wizard, perhaps."

Leo said, "Chris, I still need to see Wizard Sally later. We can talk when we have time."

After Chris left, Leo tidied his appearance and headed for his mentor's office.

"Wizard Sally, Wizard Tesla, it's Leo."

"Come in."

Sally's voice rang out.

After entering, Leo first gave Wizard Tesla a slight nod, then looked at Sally.

Sally sat at her desk. The smile she once wore when facing Leo was gone, replaced by a stern expression.

Sally asked, "Leo, I'm a little disappointed in you. You clearly joined the knight order's hunting mission, yet you did not tell me the truth."

"I'm sorry, Wizard Sally." Leo said apologetically, "Because I thought you might oppose it, I hid the matter from you."

"As you said, hunting sea monsters is a troublesome, difficult, and dangerous matter."

"I encountered danger several times and nearly failed to return."
