Tesla took a sip of honey water. This was a kind of honey produced by magical creatures; it tasted sweet and refreshing, and offered a slight benefit in stabilizing mental energy. However, it was expensive—such a small sip was worth two or three Magic Stones.

Tesla asked, "Wizard Sally, you really put quite a bit of thought into Leo's gift for becoming a Wizard this time. Not only that, you even got him a little present."

Sally raised her head at those words and said, "He is worth it, isn't he?"

"That's true." Tesla said, "Then if Chris or Molly becomes a Wizard next, what sort of congratulatory gift do you plan to give them?"

Sally fell silent for a moment before saying, "If they can become Wizards, I will prepare a bottle of high-quality, 100-Magic-Stone Mind-Nourishing Potion for each of them, to help them raise their mental energy as quickly as possible after becoming Wizards."

Tesla shook his head.

Compared to Leo, Sally's attitude toward Chris and Molly was clearly far more perfunctory.

Mind-Nourishing Potions were mainly helpful to Wizard Seedlings. Wizard Apprentices could use them as well, but their effects could only be described as mediocre.

Compared with the additional gift Sally had prepared for Leo, it was much inferior.

However, Tesla felt there was nothing wrong with Sally's favoritism.

Leo had demonstrated his value, while Chris and Molly had not.

Concentrating resources on more outstanding geniuses was a reasonable approach.

Wizard Tesla rose to his feet and said, "I am also a member of the Esmond Gathering. When the time comes, I'll cover half the Magic Stone cost of the congratulatory gift. Although I hate trouble, this is a tradition of the Esmond Gathering. I was once a beneficiary of this tradition myself."
