"It would take about three months to return to the Omnipotent Ring from here."
On the back of the giant bird aircraft, beside the fountain pool in the bonsai garden, the Miracle Wizard named Kubo paused before speaking meaningfully. "The Silver Falcon airship is not slow. It is simply that the Middle Continent is far, far larger than you imagined.
"I presume you have already experienced that firsthand on your way here."
Dago's eyes flickered. His lips moved slightly, but he said nothing.
Kubo smiled and pointed at the lovely garden villa before them. "You'll have to make do with staying here for the next three months."
"There is a dedicated communication array in the house. Contact us anytime if you need anything."
Without giving Dago a chance to refuse, Wizard Kubo adjusted his robes and turned with the red-haired wizard named Lumian, walking out of the garden.
The two stood at the garden entrance, separated from Dago by a translucent barrier of magical light, smiling and waving goodbye. In the blink of an eye, they vanished like snowflakes melting and evaporating beneath the blazing sun, gone to who knew where.
The enormous giant bird aircraft beat its hurricane-like wings, scattering countless streaks of light as it flew above the clouds.
The journey was remarkably steady, without the slightest jolt.
Dago crossed the exquisite little garden and headed toward the house where he would be staying.
The moment he entered, he saw ten figures kneeling respectfully before him. They were all women dressed as maids, ranging in age from twelve to thirty-six. Their temperaments varied, and even their races were different.
When they addressed Dago, each carried a distinctive accent, some soft and sultry, others cool and clear—enough to satisfy most people's fantasies about the opposite sex.
