Dago had always remained within a wizard's "traditional way of thinking" and had rarely experienced battles capable of injuring his body.

Pain seemed like something from a very distant past.

Previously, he had used the Elemental Resonance Art to support ice spells, fighting mostly with magic and overlooking its true function. In cultivation terms, it was a divine skill capable of improving one's Spiritual Root.

Of course, sorting out his thoughts was only the first step. Whether this method of "close combat" was truly viable, and whether it could really enhance the Elemental Resonance Art's development of the physical body, would have to be tested by time.

Dago sliced apart the boar magical beast's hide. His spiritual power slowly seeped in as he examined it carefully. A moment later, he clicked his tongue, slowly setting down the hide with an expression that said, "So it really is," his eyes shifting in thought.

"The boar magical beast's hide contains highly concentrated earth energy particles. During close combat with it, earth and ice energy particles collided, causing the ice element to fuse with my body."

After discovering this, Dago suddenly realized that his previous judgment had not been accurate enough. What truly allowed the Elemental Resonance Art to further temper his body was not simply "close combat," but rather—being attacked by energy particles, then adapting to coexisting with the ice element while his body recovered from its injuries.

"In other words."

A light shone in Dago's eyes. "Would ice elements summoned by spells work too?"

Proving it was simple. With a snap of his fingers, large quantities of ice elemental particles gathered in the air before him, quickly forming a spinning ice ball out of thin air.
