"Damn genius bastards!"
Hearing the seamless understanding between Sawamura and Miyuki, Sendou merely curled his lip dismissively.
Miyuki was not good at psychological analysis aimed at individuals, either. That depended entirely on talent.
Miyuki could only put himself in the batter's shoes; he could not accurately analyze different opponents' thought processes on a case-by-case basis.
Of course, there were exceptions for people with especially obvious personalities or those who were easy to provoke... (A world where only the white-haired one got hurt.)
"Then, Sawamura!
You look like you're hearing this for the first time, so let's start here!" Miyuki continued.
"Then explain it in a way I can understand!
Seriously!!" Sawamura shouted.
"Why are you getting angry?" Miyuki retorted.
"If you don't explain it simply, wouldn't I have come here for nothing?!!" Sawamura argued openly.
"Fine!
Pitch calling is the combination of pitches a pitcher knows how to throw, based on data!
In other words, it is a pitching approach founded purely on theory!!
In contrast...
Guidance is based on the pitcher's condition that day, the pitches the opposing team is targeting,
and an assessment of the batter's overall state!
It is the strategy carried out in an actual game!
There are many things to consider...
The runners' positions, the number of outs, which inning it is, and the score difference!
Whether, in the worst-case scenario, you can allow this batter to reach base and then use a bolder Ball Trajectory!
Sendou often faces absurdly unconventional Ball Trajectories like that!
But even though he has gotten plenty of hits off them, you probably haven't noticed!
And if you pay close attention, you will find that the opponent's pitch calling is not always so extreme in every situation!
You must also consider whether it is necessary to seek decisive victory within
