The robbers were dumbfounded, but Jerry wasn't. Bolstered by Superman State, he quickly rushed in front of the last robber.
The last robber finally came to his senses. If he didn't fight back now, he would likely follow in the footsteps of the other three.
So he immediately threw away his useless rifle and reached for the pistol at his waist.
How could Jerry let him draw his gun? He leaped up and drove a powerful knee straight between the last robber's legs.
The robber's eyes widened. How could he dare draw his gun now? He hurriedly covered his crotch with both hands.
But he had badly misjudged Jerry's strength.
In Superman State, Jerry was far stronger than the robber. On top of that, this knee strike was delivered with all his strength. Though the robber got his hands down in time to block it, the force still drove them straight into his balls.
His body doubled over like a shrimp, and he sucked in a sharp breath. It clearly didn't feel good.
But after landing the knee strike, Jerry didn't pause in the slightest. Directed by his supercharged brain, he planted both hands on the robber's shoulders and sent his entire body soaring into the air, appearing above the robber's head.
His legs coiled around the robber's neck like pythons. Every muscle in his body tensed at once, and he twisted hard, like unscrewing a bottle cap.
Crack!
The last robber's head abruptly twisted one hundred and eighty degrees. He was dead beyond any doubt.
Jerry flipped down and landed. After scanning the surroundings and confirming there was no danger, he immediately deactivated Superman State and turned off the mind-refreshing function.
"Phew... that was brutal!"
The two- or three-minute fight hadn't put too much strain on his brain. He only felt dizzy for a moment before returning to normal.
But perhaps the intensity of those few minutes had been too high. The instant his muscles relaxed, his entire body felt like he hadn't run in years and had suddenly sprinted five kilometers.
The kind of feeling you got when you woke up the morning after that run.
Still, honestly, Superman State felt amazing.
Before activating it, his fighting skills had only been at an amateur level. But once activated, they instantly rose to the top tier.
After resting briefly and recovering some strength, Jerry went to the robber he had stabbed to death with a Dagger and pulled out his transformed Dagger. Then he walked over to the unconscious robber leader named Smith.
Without the slightest hesitation, he raised the Dagger and viciously plunged it into the robber leader's chest.
If you didn't pull weeds out by the roots, they would grow back in the spring. Faced with robbers who clearly had more than one life on their hands, Jerry had no intention of being softhearted.
Besides, the robber leader had probably seen what he looked like through the smoke earlier. He definitely couldn't be left alive.
Though it was his first time killing someone, Jerry felt little discomfort besides a faint sense of nausea. Maybe it was because he had already died once himself—after being hit by a truck.
So death wasn't as terrifying to him as he had imagined.
"As expected, they're not even in the same league. This was totally worth it!"
Opening the Peculiar Panel, Jerry discovered that his Little Red Star count had suddenly surged to two thousand. A delighted expression immediately appeared on his face.
Two thousand Little Red Stars were enough to equal the amount he would have accumulated from doing good deeds for two or three years.
And this time, he had earned them all in one go!
It seemed that low-effort good deeds like taking out the trash or helping old ladies cross the street were nowhere near comparable to fighting four armed bank robbers who had hijacked a School Bus.
Although he had gained two thousand Little Red Stars, Jerry didn't immediately enter the Small World of "Harry Potter."
That was because every time he returned from a Small World, there would be a cooldown period. During that time, even if he had enough Little Red Stars, he couldn't enter again.
And after the first trial period ended, entering a Small World would cost him one hundred Little Red Stars every day. Two thousand might sound like a lot, but it was really only enough for twenty days.
Besides, while attending Hogwarts and learning magic, the acceleration function of Little Red Stars would definitely be indispensable.
So what he needed to consider next was how to earn more Little Red Stars for future expenses.
Closing the Peculiar Panel, Jerry slowly walked to the center of the Warehouse.
On the table in the middle of the Warehouse, aside from bottles of beer, was a huge bag containing what looked like a million dollars in Cash.
Because of the fight just now, quite a few bills from the bag had scattered onto the floor.
Jerry picked up eight or nine of them and stuffed them into his pocket, muttering to himself,
"I helped you get back over a million dollars. Taking seven or eight hundred isn't too much, right? I can use it to buy Elsa the Frozen Princess Doll she likes most!"
After all, Jerry was only an eleven-year-old child in this world. His father wouldn't give him much allowance.
Normally, he only got a little from classmates who liked causing trouble.
He was good at fighting violence with violence, but they were all elementary school students and didn't have much on them anyway.
Seven or eight hundred dollars wasn't much, and the bank wouldn't make a big fuss over a few hundred bucks.
"Alright, now I just have to wait for the police to rescue me!"
Feeling that some of his magic had recovered, he used the Restoration Charm to turn the Dagger back into a Stool Leg. Then he returned to the room where he had been held, locked the wooden door again with a Locking Spell, and lay on the bed with his eyes closed to rest.
"Come to think of it, the police won't fail to find this place, will they? Probably not. Those gunshots earlier were pretty loud!"
In fact, not long after Jerry lay down on the bed, a man clad in red-and-gold mechanical armor appeared above the Warehouse.
Time rewound to over an hour earlier.
Inside Tony Stark's enormous mansion.
"Sir, a bank robbery has occurred in Queens. The robbers have hijacked a School Bus full of elementary school students and have currently escaped police pursuit!"
Tony, who was studying the suitcase-style portable armor of Mark V, set down the blueprints in his hand upon hearing Jarvis's report and slowly walked toward the armor assembly platform.
"Perfect. I could use some fresh air and inspiration!"
Ever since publicly revealing his identity a few days ago, he had been trying to create more portable armor for dealing with emergencies. But shrinking such a large suit of armor down to the size of a suitcase was no easy task.
Standing on the armor assembly platform, Tony watched as Mark IV Armor rapidly covered his body under the control of the artificial intelligence Jarvis.
Mark III had been severely damaged during its battle with Iron Monger and couldn't be used for the time being, so Tony had created Mark IV as a replacement.
Mark IV had essentially the same functions as Mark III, with only minor adjustments to its appearance.
Activating the armor's thrusters, Tony piloted Mark IV Armor toward the direction in which the robbers had fled at a speed no slower than a fighter jet.
