Jerry checked the time. It was already 6:40. He immediately pulled up on his flying broom and flew toward the abandoned factory.
Originally, he had only planned to show himself in public so people would know he had appeared around this time. But since he happened to come across someone falling into the water, he saved them along the way. It could count as earning a few Little Red Stars.
Avoiding the crowd, Jerry returned to the abandoned warehouse. Just as he was about to change out of his Wizard Suit, his ears twitched. He immediately drew his wand and shouted toward a rusty machine inside the warehouse:
"Who's there? Come out!"
He was still in Superman State, and his five senses were exceptionally sharp. Just now, he had caught an unfamiliar scent behind that rusty machine, one that did not belong in this warehouse.
"Hello, Mr. Wizard. I mean no harm!"
At that moment, a tall, beautiful woman in a special combat uniform slowly stepped out from behind the machine, holding both hands up to show that she was unarmed.
She was none other than Maria Hill, the elite agent Director Fury had sent to New York.
Hill herself was somewhat surprised. She had not expected this Wizard to possess not only magic, but such strong vigilance as well.
