With a flick of Jerry's tail, a steel cable appeared out of thin air. It swiftly caught up to Batman, who was about to escape through the window, bound him tightly, and slammed him to the ground.
Batman's new suit could absorb and break down energy, so low-level spells cast by Jerry would be neutralized before their magical effects could take hold.
However, that defensive measure could only guard against magic that reacted directly on the body. Jerry had countless spells in his head and could simply use one that did not produce a direct reaction, such as the Rope Spell he had just used.
In fact, with the strength Jerry had now recovered, even Batman's suit would be unable to withstand a full-powered Sectumsempra. Its absorption and decomposition speed could not match the spell's activation speed, rendering it useless.
Before absolute power, even understanding some of the principles behind magic made little difference.
Besides, there was no need for that. He had no intention of killing Batman.
