Background / History

Rei's family runs a kendo dojo. She became a Magical Girl in fifth grade and spent eight years fighting Void Beasts before the events surrounding Ando Meiko. 52 92

Years earlier, Rei's team was overwhelmed by a Void Beast tide connected to the Dragon-Tier Void Beast Lust. When her older sister, Nakajima Ming, was badly injured, Rei's suppressed Succubus Bloodline awakened; she manifested pink magic, heart-shaped pupils, bat-like wings, and a heart-tipped tail. Ming burned her own Source Aether to suppress Rei's rampaging power, transferred her familiar to Rei, and disappeared after entrusting Rei's protection to it. 63 92 93

At Phantom Cherry High School, Rei initially concealed an unnervingly possessive side. She used charm magic on Edogawa Marugō and expressed a desire to turn Meiko into a doll belonging only to her. 9 Her subsequent partnership with Meiko in the school festival's three-legged race brought them closer. 16 19
