There Really Is Such a Person!
The Flower Capital, the residence of Kozuki Oden.
Kanjuro skipped and hopped along the corridor with light steps.
A barely concealed smile played on his lips as he pondered what was about to happen.
He came back today to report the results of his investigation to Oden.
Yesterday he just wandered around outside all day, then found a random place to lie down and that was it—he considered his "investigation" mission complete.
Those who witnessed his painting since childhood said he was a genius in painting and that he would definitely become the number one painter in Wano Country in the future.
However, ever since he infiltrated Oden's ranks, he has never again displayed his superb painting skills.
The thought of being able to perform in front of Oden soon makes me want to laugh.
Oden was originally the shogun of Wano Country, but now he has absolutely no power.
How stupid must that guy be?
I wonder what his expression will be like when he finds out that there really is a "survivor" in the Akutami family!
Pushing open the paper door to Oden's room, Kanjuro immediately put on an excited, flushed face and shouted at the top of his lungs.
"My lord! My lord! A tremendous discovery! An unparalleled discovery!"
He rushed to Oden in a few strides, gesturing excitedly with his hands in the air.
"The Akutami family! There really is a survivor in the Akutami family!"
After saying this, Kanjuro looked at Oden expectantly, waiting for Oden's reaction.
As he expected, Oden should then show a shocked and excited expression.
However, a scene that Kanjuro couldn't understand appeared.
Oden's face didn't light up at the news; instead, a hint of worry flashed across it.
Based on my understanding of Oden, this expression seems to mean, "So it really is true?"
Kanjuro's heart skipped a beat.
Something's not right.
Something's nine out of ten wrong!
Why does Oden have that expression?
Kanjuro subconsciously glanced around the room.
Oden had already changed into his outdoor attire, with the two famous swords, Ame no Habakiri and Enma, hanging at his waist.
Are you going out?
Kanjuro quickly calculated the days in his mind and felt increasingly uneasy.
Today isn't Oden's weekly day for his nude dance at Orochi Castle; he should be staying at his mansion.
And even if you're dancing, you shouldn't be carrying a knife, right?
What is he trying to do?
Before Kanjuro could figure it out, Oden suddenly looked at him anxiously.
"Kanjuro, you've come at the right time." Oden stood up, his tone urgent. "I was just about to look for you."
Kanjuro immediately suppressed his doubts, adopted a respectful posture, and bowed slightly.
"What are your orders, my lord? I will obey your commands."
Oden jumped in front of him, staring intently at him.
Do you know where the Akuta is?
Kanjuro wasn't surprised and subconsciously prepared to reveal the location of his hidden Akutami.
But Kanjuro's body suddenly stiffened, and the words caught in his throat.
Akutami?
Was Oden referring to Akutami?!
That's not right!
Did I forget to Akutami to Oden?
Kanjuro's back instantly broke out in a cold sweat, and his body trembled slightly uncontrollably.
He came up with this fake name while drawing last night, and hasn't had a chance to reveal it to anyone yet. Even the Great Serpent doesn't know the fake person's real name!
How could Oden have known?!
Has my undercover identity been exposed?
Countless thoughts exploded wildly in Kanjuro's mind.
He forced down the turmoil churning within him and managed a slightly stiff smile.
"My lord... who were you talking about just now?"
Oden waved his hand dismissively, seemingly oblivious to his odd behavior.
"It's that orphan from the Akutami family, the one who changed his name to Akuta. Have you found his location yet? We need to go rescue him right away!"
Kanjuro's brain completely shut down.
What's going on?
Akutami mannequin he drew was just last night, and it was only released yesterday.
How could Oden possibly know of this person's existence?
Do you know where he is?
This isn't right.
This is really not right.
Kanjuro felt like his brain had been stuffed with a lump of paste.
He racked his brains but couldn't figure out what went wrong. For a moment, he stood there stunned, forgetting to even reply.
"Kanjuro?"
Oden's voice pulled him back from the chaos.
"What are you standing there for? Have you found it or not?!"
Kanjuro snapped back to his senses, quickly suppressing all his emotions, and said in a flustered manner.
"I... I didn't find it."
Upon hearing this, Oden paced anxiously in circles.
Kanjuro finally couldn't hold back any longer.
He glanced cautiously at Oden.
"My lord, what has happened?"
Oden paused for a moment, then looked at Kanjuro in surprise.
"Ah, didn't you know? Yesterday, Akuta attacked one of Kaido's transport convoys and destroyed a processing plant."
"We need to find him and protect him before Kaido does!"
Kanjuro's pupils suddenly contracted.
The convoy was attacked?
And they even destroyed a processing plant?
He subconsciously looked down at his hands and quickly went over yesterday's itinerary in his mind.
That's not right.
He did spend the whole day outside yesterday, but that was because he hadn't found the right opportunity to stage the "attack on Kaido's base" act yet.
He hasn't even touched a hair on the Beasts Pirates' head yet!
He did send out a dummy, but it was hidden in an abandoned hut outside the city, and no attack order was given at all.
Who attacked Kaido?
Kanjuro felt as if Kaido had hit him hard on the head with a stick, leaving him completely stunned.
Did someone beat him to it, using the fake identity he fabricated, and pull off this big heist?
No, wait.
He only came up with the Akutami " last night; it's been less than twenty-four hours since he was born.
There is no one else in the world but himself who could possibly know the pseudonym "Akutami"!
Kanjuro felt his worldview being challenged like never before, and the pounding of his heart almost drowned out Oden's anxious voice.
"Kanjuro! Kanjuro!"
Oden's voice suddenly rose several octaves, finally pulling Kanjuro back from his dazed state.
"Are you even listening to me?! The situation is extremely critical!"
Oden grabbed Kanjuro's shoulder.
"That guy Akuta, was too impulsive! How could he just attack Kaido's factory like that!"
Given Kaido's personality, he would definitely send all his men to hunt down Akuta!
We must find him before Kaido's men!
Kanjuro's lips trembled, and he instinctively opened his mouth.
"My lord, are you sure the person who attacked Kaido was really Akuta...?"
"How could it be fake!"
Oden interrupted him abruptly, looking at Kanjuro with some confusion.
"And haven't you already found out about Akuta?"
Why would you think he's fake?
