Events Became Increasingly Confusing!
The sudden change of heart by the Kaido Pirates caused Nekomamushi to shout in frustration.
"What exactly is Kaido trying to do! He said before that our people attacked him, so why is he now saying he's some foreign pirate!"
Among the crowd, the ever-intelligent Denjiro calmly analyzed the situation.
"My lord, I suspect Kaido has two purposes in doing this."
First, they don't want to admit that a single samurai from Wano Country could wreak havoc on them, as this would be a huge blow to their deterrent power.
Secondly, if Akuta is classified as a foreign pirate, then Lord Oden, you will have no grounds to protect him.
Kin'emon, who was standing to the side, nodded in agreement.
"Denjiro is right!"
"My lord, regardless of whether that Akuta is a samurai from Wano Country or not, he is currently helping us."
"Based on this alone, we cannot stand idly by!"
Oden was silent for a moment, then nodded vigorously.
"That's right."
Oden's voice was resolute.
"Whether he's a samurai from Wano Country or a foreign pirate, he's fighting Kaido now, so we're on his side!"
Oden raised his head, his gaze sweeping over everyone present.
"Pass down the order: the entire Kozuki family must be mobilized. They must find the Akuta before Jin!"
"Yes!"
The Nine Red-Sheathed Swordsmen responded in unison, their fighting spirit soaring.
Only Kanjuro, mixed in with the crowd, shouted along, his smile somewhat stiff.
He was already cursing under his breath.
It's one thing for a real "Akuta" to suddenly appear out of nowhere, but now Kaido's side is even changing their tune and calling him a foreign pirate.
Doesn't this effectively block his path to framing Oden?
Asshole!
Which bastard is counterfeiting his products?!
at the same time.
In an inconspicuous cave in the Ringo region of Wano Country.
Akuta rubbed his shoulders and pulled a map out of his pocket.
He had drawn crooked marks all over the map with charcoal.
He crossed out the transport convoy that was attacked yesterday, and circled the burned-down factory with a black circle.
His finger moved slowly across the nautical chart, searching for locations related to Kaido's pirate crew.
After deciding to have a good go at Kaido, Akuta devised his new tactics.
He intends to use his abilities to attack and destroy Kaido's forces in Wano Country.
In just one day, the Akuta has destroyed two of Kaido's weapon factories, three transport convoys, and five small mines!
Although Akuta encountered several skilled fighters under Kaido, including some enemies he couldn't defeat at his current level.
In the past, Akuta would have fought him to the bitter end, until the game restarted.
But what Akuta wants now is to cause trouble for Kaido.
As for being chased and beaten all the way, Akuta said he didn't care!
Just treat it as a massage!
Comfortable!
He's a real man!
Late at night, on a mountain path somewhere in Wano Country.
Two pirates from the Beasts Pirates, one fat and one thin, were walking one after the other on a road at night.
"I say, isn't Lord Jin being a bit too cautious?" the fat pirate complained impatiently. "Making us find the murderer in this godforsaken place in the middle of the night? How are we supposed to find him here?"
"Shut up." The skinny pirate didn't even turn his head. "That guy named Akuta burned down another factory yesterday. Lord King's furious right now. Don't blame me if you run into his trap."
"Tch." The fat pirate scoffed dismissively. "If you ask me, that guy would have run away long ago. He's attacked so many places we've been to; only a fool would stay put and wait for someone to catch him."
"Who knows?" The skinny pirate shook his head with a smile. "That madman never played by the rules from the very beginning."
The two walked a little further, and the fat pirate couldn't help but speak again.
"Hey, what's the background of that Akuta? Lord Jin initially said he was a samurai from Wano Country, but then he changed his story and said he was a foreign pirate?"
The skinny pirate didn't answer immediately, but paused slightly in his tracks.
"Don't ask questions you shouldn't ask. Whatever Lord Jin says is law. Who cares if he's a samurai or a pirate?"
The fat pirate said "Oh" and nodded subconsciously.
Wano Country is still pitch black at night.
In this place, where development is similar to that of ancient civilizations, there are no streetlights on the roads at night; they can only use lanterns in their hands for illumination.
Just then, a blurry figure suddenly appeared about twenty meters ahead.
The fat pirate stopped abruptly and shouted sharply ahead:
"Who?!"
The figure didn't flinch; instead, it walked confidently towards them.
The lantern light finally illuminated the appearance of the person who had arrived.
A young man dressed in strange clothes came into their view.
The newcomer smiled at the two of them and introduced himself.
"My name is Akuta. Are you two pirates from the Beasts Pirates?"
The fat pirate was furious when he saw the jovial Akuta.
He chuckled and laughed, "I've been a pirate for so long, and this is the first time I've encountered someone like this!"
When I wasn't a pirate, nobody was afraid of me; now that I'm a pirate, nobody's afraid of me either.
Then I've been a pirate for nothing!
Just as the fat pirate was about to explode in anger, the skinny pirate beside him suddenly asked the Akuta:
"We are looking for the people who attacked us. Our processing plant was destroyed around nine o'clock yesterday, did you know that?"
Akuta nodded without hesitation.
"Of course I know, after all, I set the fire myself."
The skinny pirate's expression suddenly changed as soon as he finished speaking.
The corners of that originally serious face gradually curled up, eventually revealing a playful smile.
"Oh!" He crossed his arms and tilted his head to look at Akuta. "That's strange."
Akuta blinked, puzzled.
"What's strange?"
"I never said the factory burned down."
The air seemed to have been suddenly sucked away, freezing instantly.
Akuta's smile froze.
"Ah?"
Seeing that the Akuta was intimidated, the skinny pirate's smile vanished, replaced by a serious, almost cold expression, and his voice suddenly rose.
"Tell me! Where were you at nine o'clock last night?!"
Akuta was forced to take half a step back by his imposing aura.
"Didn't I tell you? I set your factory on fire!"
The skinny pirate shook his head, and that meaningful smile reappeared on his face.
He held up one finger and slowly shook it in the air.
"No, no."
"You were setting the fire at our factory last night when it was destroyed."
"Can such a coincidence really exist in this world?!"
The Akuta's mouth opened even wider.
He looked down at his hands, then looked up at the skinny pirate's serious face, and was plunged into an unprecedented wave of self-doubt.
"Could it be... not me?"
The skinny pirate sneered, turned around, and waved to the fat pirate.
"Let's go, he's not the person we're looking for."
The fat pirate stood there, stunned.
He glanced at the skinny pirate, then at the dazed Akuta who was still standing there in a daze.
Are we just leaving like this?
The skinny pirate glanced at the Akuta and then nodded.
"Yes, he has an alibi; he's not the person we're looking for."
