Kaido's Assault!
In a communications room somewhere on Onigashima, a communications pirate was shouting at a Den Den Mushi (a type of Den Den Mushi).
"An enemy has arrived on Ghost Island. He defeated many of our men through surprise attacks; we can't beat him!"
A puzzled voice came from the other end of the Den Den Mushi.
"But isn't Lord Jin still on Onigashima?"
"Even Lord Jin hasn't fought this!"
Perhaps not expecting this outcome, the other end of the Den Den Mushi fell into endless silence after hearing everything.
Suddenly, the communications pirates heard someone stealing a Den Den Mushi.
The face on the Den Den Mushi changed, and two small cow horns grew out of its head.
As is well known, the face of a Den Den Mushi (snail phone) can mimic parts of the appearance of the person answering the phone.
As a communications pirate, he immediately realized that the person on the other end of the Den Den Mushi was none other than the governor of their Beasts Pirates.
Kaido!
Kaido's angry voice came through the microphone, making the entire communications room buzz.
"What! Give me my weapon!"
It was just a simple sentence, yet the pirates who communicated with Kaido didn't even see his face.
But it felt as if an invisible hand had gripped his heart, making him unsteady on his feet and almost causing him to kneel on the ground.
When he looked up again, the Den Den Mushi had been disconnected.
Only Kaido's terrifying and oppressive aura remained in the air of the entire communications room.
On the other side.
Akuta looked around boredly.
"I don't know where Kaido, Hanafuda, and the Beast Pirates have gone."
The next moment, Akuta's lips curled up, and he looked at the huge, horn-shaped stone in front of him with a joyful expression, and couldn't help but nod.
But I've arrived at the rooftop of Ghost Island!
This place is called Rooftop, but it's not actually a house; it's a mountaintop.
This is not only the very center of Onigashima, but also the core stronghold of the Beasts Pirates.
From a distance, there was a huge bull-horn-shaped skull on the roof, which left Akuta, this country bumpkin, completely stunned.
Akuta examined the edge step by step.
At this point, there wasn't a single pirate daring to block his way.
Those guards who had just been shouting to stop him were either already lying in the shadows or huddled far away in the dark, not daring to even breathe too loudly.
The entire ghost island seemed to fall silent suddenly, with only the sobbing of the sea breeze as it passed through the cracks in the rocks.
Akuta stood in the shadow of the giant skull, looked up, and couldn't help but reach out and touch his chin.
"Kaido has quite the unique aesthetic sense; he even came up with a skull."
Akuta vaguely remembered that the future Kaido was quite ambitious.
He attempted to replace Wano Country with the name "New Onigashima" as the new country's name and transfer everything from Onigashima to the Flower Capital.
Then he made his daughter Yamato the shogun of New Onigashima, attempting to establish an anarchic pirate empire!
Then, by utilizing the natural terrain of Wano Country, they can conquer other islands and expand their influence!
Kaido's ideals were lofty, but reality was harsh.
Before his plan could even begin, he was attacked by the local forces of Wano Country and the Worst Generation led by Luffy.
Under the power of Luffy's Nikka Fruit, Kaido was ultimately defeated and fell into the magma chamber beneath Wano Country along with the defeated Big Mom. They then disappeared in an underwater volcanic eruption, their fate unknown.
Akuta didn't have any particular feelings about this part of the story.
It's safe to say that Kaido and Big Mom are indeed siblings; one wants to build a pirate empire, and the other wants to build Whole Cake Island, composed of various races.
As fellow Yonko, compared to Kaido and Big Mom, the other two Yonko only know how to adopt sons everywhere, while the other is always trying to save face for others.
Compared to before, Kaido and Big Mom's ambitions are indeed much grander.
What Akuta finds difficult to bear is that if you're going to build a country, you should build it properly for me!
Who taught you to build a country like this?
Kaido treated Wano Country like a piece of cake, enslaving them to do hard labor every day.
An older woman treated the people of the world like consumables, constantly demanding that her subordinates hand over their lifespans.
With you doing this, who would want to recognize you as kings?
Could we learn from Doflamingo, the Heavenly Demon? When he usurped the throne, he knew to create a heroic image for himself by first framing the original king of Dressrosa.
With you guys messing around like this, there's no way you'll ever be able to establish a country!
After shaking his head, Akuta withdrew his gaze, casually found a relatively flat spot on the stone on the roof, dusted himself off, and sat down nonchalantly.
The shadow wings had already been retracted, and those restless shadows retreated to his feet like a tide, as quiet as if they had never existed.
"Let's wait."
Akuta pulled an apple from his pocket—he didn't know where he'd gotten it from—rubbed it casually on his sleeve a couple of times, and took a crunchy bite.
As the morning light climbed inch by inch above the horizon, it outlined the entire ghost island from the fog.
Akuta sat on the roof, chewing on an apple, but his eyes remained focused.
His gaze would occasionally sweep across the distant sea, his Observation Haki already fully activated, taking in all the changes in the atmosphere of the entire island.
He didn't even glance at the pirates hiding in the shadows.
No matter how many ants there are, they can't kill an elephant.
All that Akuta wanted from beginning to end was Kaido.
"You'd better not keep me waiting too long, Kaido-sensei."
Akuta spat out the fruit pit and casually tossed it on the ground.
He leaned against the rock behind him, closed his eyes, as if he were dozing off.
But if anyone dares to take even half a step closer, those silent shadows will immediately leap out from the cracks in the rocks and shred the foolish fellow into pieces.
A moment later, Akuta suddenly opened his eyes.
His Observation Haki detected a familiar aura.
The aura was rapidly approaching from the sea, like a burning meteor cutting through the morning mist.
"They've arrived."
Akuta slowly stood up, cracking his knuckles, the languid look in his eyes instantly replaced by a surging fighting spirit.
Above the sea, a colossal dragon shadow is breaking through the clouds.
The blue scales gleamed coldly in the early sun, and the dragon's whiskers were stretched straight by the gale.
Even before approaching Ghost Island, its overwhelming aura had already pressed down upon them.
Before Akuta could finish speaking, the sky suddenly changed color.
The morning light that had just begun to appear seemed to be abruptly extinguished, and large swaths of dark clouds surged in from the horizon, swallowing up the sky above Ghost Island in just a few breaths.
The air suddenly felt heavy, as if countless invisible hands were pressing on people's shoulders.
The pirates hiding in the shadows were taken aback at first, then burst into a deafening cheer.
"Lord Kaido is back!"
"The governor is back!"
That bastard is dead meat!
Cheers spread like waves across Onigashima, and the pirates, who had been silent before, seemed to have regained their composure in an instant.
One by one, they peeked out from behind their bunkers, their faces beaming with the ecstatic joy of surviving a disaster.
Akuta ignored the sounds.
He stood atop the highest point of the Ghost Island rooftop, looking up and sensing the approaching presence, a slow smile spreading across his face.
They've arrived.
Kaido!
