Racing along the star route toward Heavenly Dragon Star, the Goddess of Life followed the gods of the God Realm without purpose. The entire world seemed submerged in an ocean of grief, unable to break free. She had yet to escape the shadow cast by the God of Destruction's death, dazed and muddled like a walking corpse.
Seeing her like this, the other three Supreme Gods sighed deeply within their hearts. They said nothing to comfort her, because they all understood that no matter what they said now, the Goddess of Life would not be able to hear it. After all, the one who had died was her lover, the lover who had accompanied her through cycle after cycle of epochs.
Within the tranquil void of the universe, countless stars traveled along their established paths, reflecting the light cast down by suns and giving off radiance of varying layers and colors. Yet none of that light could illuminate the darkness in the Goddess of Life's heart. Only deathly, inescapable sorrow remained.
At this moment, the Goddess of Life recalled the years when she had served under the Creator God, recalling a conversation she once had with him:
"When the ratio between time and speed is reversed, we can travel through time, but not through spacetime. Those are two independent matters. If someone can cross spacetime and return to the past, or go to the future, then they possess supreme authority."
"Your Majesty, even you cannot cross spacetime?"
"Of course not. Even I cannot. Even if a being capable of crossing spacetime were to return to the past or travel into the future, they would inevitably alter the course of history along the entire timeline and suffer immense karmic backlash. Who would do something so thankless and exhausting?"
