Suotuo City.
In the past, the gates of this major grain-producing city in the Balak Kingdom remained open twenty-four hours a day, allowing people to enter and leave freely. Now, however, things were slightly different. Two groups stood at the city gates conducting inspections: Suotuo City's soldiers and personnel wearing Spirit Hall uniforms.
The atmosphere was somewhat tense. Those arriving from other places had to line up in long queues and undergo two rounds of inspection before being allowed through, making the process unusually strict.
Among those waiting in line, some still had no idea what had happened and exchanged information with one another.
"Brother, why is Suotuo City checking people so strictly today?"
"You don't know? The Spirit Hall Main Temple was blown up!"
"What? Brother, you're not joking with me, are you? That joke isn't funny at all. Who would have the nerve to blow up the Spirit Hall Main Temple?"
"Shh! Keep your voice down! Haven't you seen those Spirit Hall people at the gate looking over here?"

Following the direction indicated, the man looked over and met the icy gaze of a Spirit Hall member.
What surprised the passerby even more was that these Spirit Hall personnel were all injured to varying degrees, and quite a few had bandages wrapped around their foreheads.
Just as the passerby was marveling inwardly, a commotion suddenly broke out in the crowd.
The passerby narrowed his eyes and saw a man—a man dressed in a crimson ceremonial robe—disregard the rules and walk straight past everyone toward the city gates.
His clothes were inlaid with gold and silver patterns. In particular, the gemstone on his chest, shining with golden light and as large as an infant's fist, exuded an air of extravagance.
Ordinary people had no
