The air gradually grew scorching, and waves of heat rose from the Blood Pool.
Yang Ming and Hu Liena were already drenched in sweat, their clothes soaked through.
After killing a large number of blood-colored bats, Yang Ming fixed his gaze on the narrow path ahead. It was dark and deep there; without exceptional eyesight, there was no way to make anything out.
Seeing that his opponent still refused to reveal itself, a trace of mockery flashed through Yang Ming's eyes. The patterns in them transformed into the Mangekyō Sharingan, and a Tsukuyomi Genjutsu struck directly into his opponent's eyes from nearly a thousand meters away.
"Screee!"
An utterly terrified shriek rang out, and a bat far larger than the blood-colored bats from before appeared.
It had originally been hanging upside down above the narrow path. Having witnessed Yang Ming slaughter so many blood-colored bats single-handedly, and possessing intelligence equal to at least a twelve-year-old child's, it naturally understood that Yang Ming was far too powerful for it to match. It had therefore not dared to act rashly, but now Tsukuyomi had forced it out.
Its entire body was dark gold, and it measured over four meters long. Both claws gripped the rock wall, each over a meter in diameter, their sharp tips sunk deep into the stone.
Struck by the Tsukuyomi Genjutsu, it loosened its claws and fell from the wall, its head spinning as though it had downed five kilos of erguotou liquor.
Even so, it spread its enormous wings, revealing a terrifying wingspan of ten meters. It beat them desperately, whipping up gusts of air to barely keep itself aloft and avoid the fate of falling into the Blood Pool below.
Only then did Hu Liena truly get a clear look at the monster.
