"The mist around you is materialized Honkai Energy!"

Chapter 29: You Smell Like Big Brother
For Theresa, today was supposed to be just like the past four thousand-plus days, a monotonous routine. Left at home by her sister, Theresa ordered takeout, planning to watch anime and eat while avoiding the quiet, uneventful evening.
But she never expected that the appearance of the delivery person, a big sister, would capture her attention the moment she saw her.
Silver hair in twin braids, sapphire blue eyes, and especially the resemblance to her own sister—Theresa couldn't help but be intrigued.
As she got closer, Theresa first sensed fluctuations of Honkai Energy from the other person, and then she smelled the scent of the big brother she had wanted to thank for days but hadn't encountered again at the supermarket.
After the delivery big sister left, Theresa's little head was filled with thoughts. First, about the Honkai Energy, then about the other person's appearance. Theresa couldn't help but think of the place she had finally escaped from, and the 'grandfather' who had created her and her sister.
Theresa also knew that anyone radiating Honkai Energy was not to be trifled with. As per her sister's instructions, she should have stayed at home.
But thinking that Kiana carried Mo Yi's scent, Theresa became worried. Would that big sister, who smelled of Honkai Energy, be harmed?
After struggling with herself for a while, Theresa finally put the 100-yuan bill, still carrying the scent of the kind big brother, into her pocket. For the first time, she went out alone without her sister accompanying her. Guided by her keen sense of smell, Theresa quickly tracked Kiana.
Although Kiana's driving skills were superb, Theresa, using her red mist wings to achieve brief flight and hovering, coupled with her smaller size and reduced air resistance, was faster.
In fact, Theresa hadn't figured out how to deal with Kiana, this suspicious delivery big sister. She thought that by following her, she might find news of the kind big brother. After all, she hadn't smelled any blood on Kiana, so the big brother shouldn't have been attacked by her.
Of course, there was also the possibility of a long-range attack, where blood wouldn't splash onto the other person.
With her extraordinary sense of smell, she had memorized Mo Yi's scent. As long as she got close enough, she could find him.
However, things didn't unfold as she imagined. The other person kept wandering, not looking like she was heading home, and even accelerating at times. After a few such instances, Theresa suspected she had been discovered.
It wasn't until Kiana arrived at this small grove and threw a lunchbox shell at her that Theresa's suspicion of being discovered was confirmed. She no longer hid and jumped out.
Honkai Energy was inherently volatile, but Kiana sensed that the red mist, which was materialized Honkai Energy, was in an extremely tranquil state. Her unease intensified. This was clearly a sign of complete mastery over Honkai Energy, something even she, with her unknown talent for immunity to Honkai Energy corrosion, couldn't achieve to such a terrifying degree.
The strength of an individual's power could be displayed in many ways, and control over that power was a crucial indicator.
Kiana, who had once traveled the world, fought monsters, and evaded various dangers, quickly realized that the other party's strength likely far surpassed her own.
"You've been following me. What's your purpose?"
Kiana tried to calm herself, her eyes scanning her surroundings as she calculated the most suitable escape route. She asked the question, hoping to distract the other party.
"You smell like big brother—"
Despite her age, Theresa, having been kept at home by her sister for a long time and not exposed to much outside information, was very straightforward. First, she displayed her combat prowess, letting the other person know she wasn't ordinary and shouldn't try to escape or attack her impulsively. After hearing Kiana's question, she directly stated her own query.
"Where is he?"
Perhaps due to the long period without social interaction, Theresa's tone was somewhat cold, and her words were concise and lacked further explanation. To Kiana, this clearly sounded like the other person was looking for trouble with the big brother she mentioned.
"The scent on you?"
After hearing Theresa's words, Kiana quickly guessed that the "big brother" Theresa was referring to must be Mo Yi.
When she delivered food, with her agile and nimble movements, strangers had no chance to touch her, so she naturally wouldn't carry anyone else's scent.
The only person who could have left a scent on her was naturally Mo Yi, who lived with her and with whom she occasionally had pillow fights.
Feeling she had grasped the truth, Kiana asked with a grave tone:
"Your target is Mo Yi?"
"Huh?"
Theresa retorted:
"So Big Brother's name is Mo Yi. Theresa remembers."
Kiana: "..."
This is bad. I seem to have done something foolish, revealing Mo Yi's name to a Honkai Beast user who appears to have ill intentions towards him.
In Kiana's mind, Theresa, who was following her and was a Honkai Beast user, was far more likely to be a bad person than a good one!
"I don't know what you're talking about?"
Kiana denied:
"I don't want to waste any more time with you here. Don't follow me anymore."
Although she knew the chances of the other party letting her go were slim, what if it worked?
Theresa sensed Kiana's intention to escape. A portion of the red mist swirling around her body formed a pair of large red mist wings behind her, disproportionate to her petite frame.
Flying in the air, Theresa looked down at Kiana on the ground and said in her still slightly cold tone, "Until you tell me about Big Brother, you're not going anywhere, delivery big sister."
Looking at the large wings behind the other party, with the sharp, feather-like protrusions formed by the red mist, Kiana knew that these "big chicken wings" could not only carry the other party through the air but also serve as a shield with thorns, and might even be used to shoot out those sharp red mist spikes as a ranged attack.
"You only get one chance—"
Kiana, who excelled at speed and was only carrying her less powerful dual pistols, couldn't possibly win a head-on confrontation. The other party's mere presence now far surpassed hers, and she could both attack and defend.
Therefore, Kiana had no intention of staying here for a prolonged fight.
"Space-Time Rift—"
Kiana unleashed her full power in that instant, simultaneously mobilizing Honkai Energy and spiritual energy to activate her innate skill, 'Space-Time Rift.' She accelerated instantly, skillfully drawing her dual pistols from her lower back, infusing them with Honkai Energy and spiritual energy. She then rapidly fired energy bullets imbued with Honkai Energy and spiritual energy at Theresa, who seemed to be frozen in mid-air.
After unleashing her maximum burst output in an instant, Kiana turned and sprinted towards her pre-planned escape route, with no time to spare to see if her assault had any effect.
This entire sequence of actions was completed smoothly within a second, thanks to the effect of the Space-Time Rift.
Just as Kiana, who had already run out of the small woods, had anticipated, her barrage of shots was blocked before it could even get close to Theresa in mid-air. The red mist, swirling around Theresa as if possessing a will of its own, automatically formed shields that stopped them all. It only managed to delay Theresa for a few seconds, without inflicting any damage.
Theresa's little nose twitched, instantly catching the scent Kiana left in the air. She muttered to herself, "Delivery big sister, you can't escape—"
PS: Go for it, delivery big sister! Also, what are Kiana's hot spring event and the NEET Princess's bizarre adventure? I can't find them on my phone browser.
