The glass door slides open.
Three figures walked out.
Natasha·Romanoff is dressed in black casual clothes and looks dusty; followed closely by Clint·Barton.
Finally, there is the black leather trench coat that has remained unchanged for thousands of years, and the one-eyed black bald head - Nick Fury.
Although he is now a wanted criminal in the world and is called "S.H.I.E.L.D. Rat" by the media, he still walks with wind.
"Wow."
Tony opened his arms exaggeratedly, but did not mean to go over and hug him. Instead, he leaned on the experimental table with a playful smile on his lips.
"Look who this is? Director Hydra of S.H.I.E.L.D.?."
"Tony." Natasha nodded as a greeting.
Then his eyes stayed on Banner, with a smile on his lips, "Hi, Bruce."
"Natasha." Banner responded somewhat awkwardly.
Nick Fury ignored Tony's taunt. He strode to the center of the laboratory. His one eye scanned the surrounding high-tech equipment, and finally landed on Tony.
"We need to talk, Stark."
"If we are talking about how to apply for Stark Industries's hardship relief fund, I can ask Pepper to give you a form." Tony shrugged, "I am very busy now and am studying how to prevent my green friends from demolishing the earth."
"I just want to get my things back." Fury ignored Tony's sarcasm and walked straight to the holographic table. He put his hands on the table and leaned forward, showing a strong sense of oppression.
"Your stuff?" Tony sneered, "Every screw here has the surname Stark."
"I want to return to my team." Fury said solemnly, "Avengers."
"Ha!"
Tony spread his hands exaggeratedly, as if he had heard some annual joke.
"Avengers? You mean that loose civil society that can't even gather people for regular meetings?" Tony walked up to Fury and pointed out the window, "Nick, wake up. Look outside.. Now is the era of Vought. Homelander takes his the Seven to fight fires all over the world, and his efficiency is 10,000 times higher than ours. Avengers? is outdated."
"Vought?" Fury sneered, his tone full of disdain, "That's just a private company. A capital monster that only cares about ratings and profits."
"Tony, you are a smart man. Do you really think it is a good thing to place the security of the world on a group of actors packaged by the public relations department?"
"Actors?" Tony retorted, "At least these actors are doing something. And what are S.H.I.E.L.D. doing? Playing in the Hydra development game? Under your nose, Hydra has turned S.H.I.E.L.D. into a sieve. Now you come to talk to me about trust?"
"That was my mistake, I admit it." Fury gritted his teeth, "So I have to correct it now. We need Avengers, and the world needs a team that is not held hostage by capital or influenced by sponsors."
"Save it, Nick." Tony turned around, picked up a screwdriver and fiddled with a small part, "I am also a capital. Stark Industries's capital is no smaller than Vought. According to your logic, I can't be trusted either."
"You are different." Natasha joked, "You have a conscience, Tony. Although it's not much, you have it."
"Thank you for your compliment, Miss Romanoff. But now my conscience tells me not to go into this muddy water." Tony said without looking back, "I am very busy now and have no time to play spy games with you."
He turned his back to Fury and waved his hand.
"If there's nothing else, JARVIS, please ask them to leave. By the way, pack a few sandwiches for them, and I'll pay for them."
After several exchanges of words, Fury found that he could not persuade this stubborn billionaire at all.
He knew that he had to resort to a trick.
"Tony·Stark!"
Fury growled behind him.
"What makes you think you're standing here drinking your green slushie?"
Tony stopped moving.
"Is it because you're smart? Because you're rich? Or because you're made of iron?"
"Because I fucking saved your life."
Tony turned around with sharp eyes. "What are you talking about?"
Fury pointed at Tony's chest, "Back then, your blood was full of toxins and you were waiting to die in the donut shop like a useless person. Who injected you with lithium dioxide? And who gave you Howard's relics? Gave you a chance to live again?"
"It's me."
Fury pointed at his chest.
"I pulled you back from Hell. I handed your father's relics into your hands. I allowed you to solve the reactor problem and let you survive."
"You owe me, Stark. This is a debt you haven't repaid yet."
The laboratory suddenly became quiet.
There was only the faint buzzing sound from the holographic projection.
Banner stood aside awkwardly, pretending to look at the data.
Natasha and Barton looked calm, obviously they had known for a long time that Fury would play this card.
Tony slowly put down the tools in his hands and looked at Fury.
Complex emotions flashed in his eyes.
He hates being kidnapped by morality, but he is a proud man.
He doesn't like to owe favors, especially favors for saving lives.
"... Tsk."
Tony drank up the green juice in one gulp impatiently.
"Okay."
He pulled up a chair, sat down, and crossed his legs.
"You win, One-Eyed Dragon. This game is yours."
Tony waved his hand impatiently.
"Tell me, what do you want to do? If you ask me to help you hack into Pentagon to eliminate the wanted order, I can let JARVIS do it now."
Seeing Tony let go, Fury's tense shoulders relaxed a little. He knew that as long as Stark was dealt with, the matter would be half done.
"It's not a wanted warrant. That thing doesn't matter to me."
Fury took out a photo from his arms.
"I want you to help me get something back."
The photo shows a long golden scepter with a gem inlaid on the top wrapped in a faint blue light.
"Mind Scepter?"
Tony recognized it at a glance, "Loki's itchy penis?"
"Yes, it was originally supposed to be in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s storage vault." Fury's face was gloomy, "But Hydra stole it. To be precise, he moved it away in front of us through legal procedures."
"Now, it's at Sokovia."
The map zooms in to show an ancient castle fortress in the mountains of Eastern Europe.
"Wolfgang von Baron Strucker. Hydra is one of the current supreme leaders. He is using the scepter to conduct human experiments in an attempt to create more super soldiers."
"I want you to go get it back."
Fury looked at everyone present.
"As long as I get the scepter back, I can use its Mind Stone control ability to counter Pierce."
"Although Pierce is cunning, he is also a human being. As long as the scepter stirs in his mind, he will obediently spit out all Hydra's secrets, lists, and accounts."
"This is our only chance to make a comeback. Clear away the darkness of S.H.I.E.L.D. in one fell swoop and let it see the light again."
