Carol slowly let out a breath, suppressing the bitterness in her heart.

She did not try to defend herself again. She knew these cracks could not be healed with a few words.

"I understand, Fury."

Carol's voice was somewhat dejected as she looked deeply at Fury.

"I'll leave, but I need to know one thing."

"Where are those Skrulls now?" Carol's gaze sharpened. "If they really did the things you described, I'll settle the score with them myself."

Homelander, who had been watching the show from the sidelines, finally spoke.

He set down his glass and folded his hands on the desk.

"My Sentinel robots are eliminating them across the globe."

Homelander's tone was as calm as if he were discussing something utterly insignificant.

Carol's eyes widened as she looked at Homelander.

"Eliminating them? Across the globe? That's genocide!"

"Let me correct you." Homelander raised one finger and sneered. "It's called pest control."

"You can't do this! There are civilians among them, innocent people!" Carol snapped.

"I gave them a chance to turn themselves in, Captain Danvers. A full forty-eight hours."

Homelander met Carol's gaze with cold eyes.

"As long as they hadn't harmed humans and were willing to remove that sinful shapeshifting ability, I thoughtfully set aside a comfortable living area for them. There was food, beds, and air conditioning. They could live openly and honestly, with far more dignity than when you had them hiding all over Earth."

Homelander spread his hands.

"And now, those who didn't dare report in."
