Ikaris was startled by the sudden voice and instinctively turned around.
There was nothing behind him but the howling cold wind.
Just as he thought he had imagined it, the voice came again.
"To your left."
As if triggered by a reflex, Ikaris leaped far to the right, hovering in midair as he assumed a defensive stance.
A dark blue bodysuit, a Stars and Stripes Cape billowing in the wind.
It was none other than the God of Humanity, Homelander.
Meanwhile, he was holding up a smartphone and tapping away at the screen.
"Alright, the connection's up." Homelander flashed his trademark smile at the phone's camera. "Hi, everyone. Good afternoon. Welcome to my personal livestream."
"I followed this little alien flyer all the way to Alaska." Homelander moved the camera and brought Ikaris into frame. "I wanted to see what kind of scheme this evil alien, who even kills his own companions, was plotting."
"And what do you think I found?"
Homelander flipped the camera around and aimed it at the glacier below, more than half of which had been melted by energy beams.
The ice had become very thin. Through the translucent surface, they could vaguely see hundreds of hideous monsters with tentacles and sharp teeth frozen inside.
The number of viewers in the livestream surged exponentially.
Comments instantly flooded the screen.
[I knew Homelander wouldn't let this villain go! When Homelander sets out, not a blade of grass survives!]
[What the fuck! What's that thing in the ice?! An alien?!]
[So he ran all the way out here to release these ugly freaks and endanger Earth? Damn it!]
[Can't win, so he unleashes the dogs? How shameless! Beat his ass!]
[Does anyone get it? Homelander is so handsome that even a death angle looks amazing! Screenshotting like crazy!]
