Hearing the voice, Tony and Stephen turned around at the same time.

"Look who's here. The God of Humanity has come down to inspect humanity," Tony teased. "Want something to drink? Whiskey?"

"If you have fresh milk, I'll have a glass," Homelander replied.

Tony casually grabbed a bottle of milk from a nearby refrigerator and tossed it over.

Homelander caught it steadily, unscrewed the cap, and took a sip.

Then he turned to Stephen and took the initiative to extend his hand.

"Nice to meet you, Doctor Strange. I've heard a great deal about you."

"Mr. Homelander." Stephen reached out and shook his hand.

"Just call me Anthony. There are no outsiders here." Homelander withdrew his hand, his tone easygoing. "Tony told me you're a genius."

"That's not how he usually praises me," Stephen said, glancing at Tony.

"I've always been honest behind people's backs." Tony shrugged.

This was also the first time Stephen had met this boss, who was worshipped like a god, in private.

He studied Homelander carefully.

There was none of the arrogance of someone looking down on others, nor the aggressive pressure unique to those in power.

The warmth Homelander displayed before the cameras was apparently exactly the same in private.

That consistency between his public and private selves made Stephen feel a favorable impression toward him.
