Eros was tied up tight. He struggled with all his might for a few moments, only to find the webbing absurdly tough. The more he struggled, the tighter it constricted.
"So, about that art of time management you mentioned earlier." Peter launched into his post-match speech without pause. "Have you calculated how many minutes it'll take you to break free from my webs?"
"I'd bet my physics credits that you'll need at least an hour. By the way, didn't anyone tell you as a kid never to wander into a spider's web? It's common sense. Even elementary school students in New York know that. I suggest you spend some time watching Animal World."
Peter looked up and shouted into the sky, "Grandmaster! He's completely subdued! I won this match!"
The Grandmaster's exaggerated voice answered Peter's call. "Wow! What an unexpected ending! It seems our spider boy..."
"Wait."
A calm voice interrupted the Grandmaster.
It was Eros.
Though he was bound tightly, there was none of a loser's dejection on his face.
Instead, he had regained that elegant, unhurried composure.
"You really are clever, Peter." Eros's voice was unnervingly calm. "Your tactics were flawless. You used the environment, set traps, and wore down my patience. As a warrior, I acknowledge your strength."
Peter turned around and watched him warily. "You lost. Just wait obediently for the referee to announce the result. Don't try any tricks."
"Lost? No, Peter. I don't see it that way." Eros gently shook his head.
Peter frowned. "Are you bluffing? You can't even move anymore, Mr. Eros."
"Peter, do you remember what I did to you before?" Eros smiled elegantly.
"Mind control?" Peter gave a soft laugh. "Don't waste your effort. My will is unbreakable now. You won't influence me with those despicable tricks again."
"I know
