Tony bit his lip. He was just as anxious, but he still nodded solemnly.
"I believe he can. Captain, Homelander was involved in designing that thing too."
"And... I believe in Peter. He can do it."
On the field.
The heavy footsteps of the giant beast drew closer with every step.
Peter looked up through the dust filling the sky and saw the colossal beast that blotted out the heavens.
And Eros standing atop its head, looking down at him.
"Now, Spider-Boy." Eros raised a hand and pointed at Peter. "Round two begins..."
Roar!
The beast opened its blood-filled maw, and an eerie blue light gathered deep in its throat.
Atomic Breath, ready to fire!
Peter stared at the mountain-sized monster before him and took a difficult deep breath.
"Okay, looks like Mr. Homelander was right. Villains always have a Plan B."
Peter mocked himself as he fired webs from both hands and began fleeing frantically.
The Atomic Breath swept past his heels, turning the entire street into a river of lava.
"Good Lord! Your breath is awful! You need a mint!"
But this was only the beginning of the disaster.
Under Eros's command, the beast became a machine of destruction.
Its thick tail was like Death's scythe, sweeping madly back and forth through the city's ruins.
Peter fired a web in midair, trying to latch onto an apartment building that had not yet collapsed.
But the instant the web stuck, the beast's tail severed the building cleanly in half.
Peter lost his point of support, and his body went out of balance in midair.
"No, no, no! This is bad!"
He clumsily fired web after web to steady himself.
But the beast's enormous claw was already slamming toward him with a howling gale.
Whoosh!
Peter twisted his waist to
