Along with the flesh and bone fragments, the football-sized Heart of the Universe was blasted out.

Use himself as a blade to sever the connection between the Heart of the Universe and Thanos.
That strike had not hit the Heart of the Universe directly. It had struck the point where it connected to Thanos's body.
Unable to stop themselves, the golden light formed by the two of them shot millions of miles away in the blink of an eye.
The moment the Heart of the Universe left his body, it began to grow larger.
In the blink of an eye, it expanded to the size of the moon, with only a single blood vessel still connecting it to Thanos's body.
"Roar..." Thanos howled in agony.
He quickly threw away his greatsword and grabbed the blood vessel with his right hand, trying to pull the Heart of the Universe back into his body.
Just then.
A black shadow flashed past at tremendous speed, slicing the final blood vessel linking Thanos and the Heart of the Universe in two.
After severing the vessel, the black shadow curved around and slashed toward Thanos's head.
It was Hela's Flying Sword!
