The Divine King Physique replaced his mortal blood with ultra-pure, sacred golden Divine Blood. Qing Yanjing subsequently fell through a spatial rift near him while severely injured and unconscious. Recognizing her as the future Buddha Goddess, Meng Chen concluded that rescuing her before Mu Feng could alter the future of the Great Thousand World 1.

After reaching Wutan City, Meng Chen began from the lowest level of local cultivation with the Barbaric Bull Art, then inherited the Purple Sun Emperor's Purple Sun Incinerating World Heavenly Technique from Qing Yanjing's Spatial Sacred Artifact 3 5 6. His knowledge of the original story repeatedly informs his pursuit of resources and intervention in other characters' destinies. Meng Chen is pragmatic, observant, and highly adaptable. Upon arriving in an unfamiliar world, he prioritizes immediate necessities—cultivation methods, funds, supplies, allies, and secure shelter—rather than dwelling on inaccessible opportunities 3 7.

He is ambitious and strategic, preferring to turn enemies into assets when useful. He recruited Hai Bodong, the Gold and Silver Elders, and Gu He into the Divine Court, while using formations, rumors, and valuable cultivation resources to establish authority 26 39 45 46 58.

His protectiveness toward those he accepts as his own can become ruthless. He rescued Qinglin from abuse, reassures her consistently, and annihilated the Jialie Clan after Jialie Ao attempted to assault her 24 34 52. In Wutan City, he establishes connections with Xiao Yan, sells the Profound Flame Palm through the Mittel Auction House, and secures a residence enhanced by Qing Yanjing's Essence-Gathering Formation 3 7 8 13.

Founding the Divine Court

After traveling to the Tagor Great Desert, Meng Chen recruits Hai Bodong by curing his Serpent Seal and names him a Guardian of the newly founded Divine Court. He obtains the Green Lotus Core Flame, uses a Heavenly Flame rumor to lure Han Feng into Qing Yanjing's Eight Desolations Burning Flame Formation, and subdues Han Feng's allies after the trap succeeds 26 27 39 45.

The expedition originates in his search for a Blood Lotus Pill. After rejecting Yao Lao's demand for two sets of ingredients, Meng Chen plans to seize Han Feng's resources rather than risk receiving a tampered pill through trade. He seeks Hai Bodong's assistance as part of the preparations for luring Han Feng out of the Black-Corner Region 21 22 23.

Growth through Heavenly Flames

Meng Chen's attempt to accelerate his body refinement with excessive dragon blood nearly destroys his meridians. Qing Yanjing saves him, allowing his body markings to evolve and propelling him to Three-Star Battle King. He then refines both the Green Lotus Core Flame and Heart-Sea Flame, breaking through to Battle Emperor 48 49 50.

Departure from Wutan City

After destroying the Jialie Clan in retaliation for its attack on Qinglin, Meng Chen leaves Wutan City with Qinglin and Xiao Yixian. He and Xiao Yan part as friends with a promise to meet again at the summit 52 54.

In the Black-Corner Region, Meng Chen renames Maple City as Chen City and entrusts its administration to Yafei. He strengthens the Gold and Silver Elders into Battle Ancestors through Qing Yanjing's formation, then enters seclusion and emerges as a Three-Star Battle Emperor 54 57 58 59.

Yafei's reforms establish Chen City as a prosperous commercial center rather than a settlement dependent on Han Feng's influence.
