After Tobirama Senju's death, Uchiha Ying inherited the appointment of Fourth Hokage and guided Konoha's young ninja while pursuing alliances and technology in the Land of Snow. On the journey back to Konoha, Ying's team was ambushed by Hidden Stone ninja and fought to survive.

• Riko confessed her love to Kagami Uchiha during a battle against Kirigakure, and Kagami later married her and returned her affection.
• Uchiha Ying mentored Uchiha Lan and other young clan members, while Tsunade began medical training under Senju Tama and Jiraiya became Hiruzen Sarutobi's student.
• Tobirama Senju died after entrusting Uchiha Ying with the document appointing him Fourth Hokage, and Ying awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan at his funeral.
• Uchiha Ying welcomed a new class at the academy, recommended Orochimaru to Kagami Uchiha, and Kagami accepted Orochimaru as his disciple.
• Uchiha Ying and his squads fought Hidden Stone ninja, then Ying led a team to escort an envoy and pursue technological cooperation in the Land of Snow.
• Uchiha Ying's team defeated Kazahana Haruyuki's Snow Ninja test, secured trade and technology cooperation, and bought the Frostmoon Blade with help from Hyuga Mina and the others.
• On the journey back to Konoha, Shi Yu and Hidden Stone ninja ambushed Uchiha Ying's team, and Hyuga Mina used Revolving Heaven to block Huang Shi's Mountain Soil Technique.

Uchiha Ying survived the Hidden Stone attack, endured the Dragon-Snake trials, and trained for two years before returning to the Ninja World to save Tsunade and kill Shi Yu. His return reignited Konoha’s war with Hidden Stone, while a plot to provoke conflict derailed Ōnoki’s peace negotiations.

• Hyuga Mina and Uchiha Ying fought the Hidden Stone forces, and Ying stayed behind to let his squad escape before falling into a river as Shi Yu pursued them.
• Stranded in a strange land, Uchiha Ying passed the Dragon-Snake trials, earned the clan’s approval, and became the Heaven-Devouring Azure Dragon’s disciple.
• Uchiha Ying trained for two years in the Dragon Spring Pool, then traveled to Ryūchi Cave and returned to the Ninja World through the White Snake Sage’s portal.
• Uchiha Ying rushed to Tsunade’s aid, killed Shi Yu, and led Konoha’s forces to seize Hidden Stone territory.
• Hyuga Mina and Hatake Sakumo vowed to avenge their fallen comrades, while Uchiha Inabi called the clans to war against Hidden Stone.
• Ōnoki went to Konoha to negotiate peace, but unidentified masked ninja interrupted the talks and fought Konoha and Hidden Stone forces together.
• Uchiha Liuyun helped Ōnoki seize a scroll revealing a plan to provoke war between the villages, but Konoha’s leaders still accused Hidden Stone of plotting and Ōnoki left with the negotiations collapsed.

The Second Ninja World War ended after Konoha’s forces defeated the Hidden Stone, and Uchiha Ying became Fourth Hokage. As Ying and Tsunade built a life together and planned Konoha’s future, the story recalled their early years and returned to the Land of Earth battlefield.

• Mū and Ōnoki discovered that Shi Yu had helped sabotage peace talks, and Ōnoki sent him and evidence to Konoha, where Uchiha Inabi rejected the offer and warned of war.
• Uchiha Lan mastered Chidori, joined Uchiha Ryusuke’s forces, and fought at the front, where Hatake Sakumo rescued him and the two grew close while serving together.
• Hatake Sakumo and Uchiha Lan led a mission against the Hidden Stone command center, but Aisite trapped them with prisoners rigged with Explosive Tags, and Sakumo shielded Lan and Yūhi Aburame from the blast.
• Tsunade and Konoha’s forces fought through the Hidden Stone assault until Uchiha Ying arrived with Susanoo, helped Tsunade defeat Shi Yu, and led the final push that ended the Second Ninja World War.
• Uchiha Ying became Fourth Hokage and set plans in motion for walkie-talkies, arcades, clan incentives, and a Ninja Kindergarten, while he and Tsunade reunited and promised to face the future together.
• Uchiha Ying and Tsunade attended Hatake Sakumo and Uchiha Lan’s wedding, then Ying donated blood as Tsunade saved Riko and helped her deliver a baby girl.
• Uchiha Ying and Tsunade recalled their shared history and hopes for a peaceful future before Ying arrived on the Land of Earth battlefield, where Tsunade told him he had come just in time.
