"I don't think I'll finish these two rolls of parchment in this lifetime," Ron Weasley groaned, slumped over the table. A few crooked lines covered the parchment before him.
On closer inspection, he had copied even those lines from a book.
Harry and Draco Malfoy trudged in, looking as if they had just run a marathon.
Harry dropped his schoolbag and collapsed into the chair beside Eli.
Draco Malfoy was no better. His legs trembled as he sat down.
"Oliver Wood and what's-his-name only just let you two go?" Ron Weasley asked, looking at their exhausted faces.
Their exhaustion was answer enough.
For days, the Quidditch teams from all four houses had been training like mad. With the Quidditch Cup at stake, each team pushed harder than the last.
Harry and Draco Malfoy had to endure grueling training while keeping up with Snape's homework. They had it rough.
Even Draco Malfoy's hair was less tidy than usual.
With some effort, Harry pulled out his parchment. Most of it was still blank.
Ron Weasley glanced at it and immediately felt better. At least I haven't written the least.
Draco Malfoy had only managed a few more lines than Harry.
Eli looked at them and felt sorry for the pair.
"Here. Remember to change some of it. Don't blame me if it's wrong." Eli tossed them his first sheet of parchment. He was already writing on his second.
Harry's and Draco Malfoy's eyes lit up like starving wolves spotting food.
"Don't tear it fighting over it!" Eli warned, afraid the two would rip his homework apart.
Harry and Draco Malfoy locked eyes, each poised to grab it. Neither would give way.
After a brief standoff, one of them said, "Look at it together?"
"Put it in the middle!"
They reached an agreement
