The Fat Lady wept and wailed, refusing to listen to Eli at all.
"Please stop crying, Fat Lady. Professor Dumbledore won't let you be hurt again," Eli pleaded patiently, but the Fat Lady refused to listen.
"Do you know how much harm a terrifying man like that can do to a delicate woman like me?" the Fat Lady sobbed, tears streaming down her face.
Eli got goosebumps all over. Suddenly, an idea struck him. "Fat Lady, I heard you're a wonderful singer, but I've never heard you sing. How about singing something for me?"
Eli gazed at the Fat Lady with an expectant look.
The Fat Lady glanced at Eli, then covered her heart with a mournful expression. "No. The graceful nightingale has had her throat strangled by darkness. She can never sing again."
Eli sucked in a cold breath. Could anyone in this world really be this shameless?
"Well, Fat Lady, I happened to learn a particularly good singing technique recently. Would you like to try it?"
The Fat Lady immediately stopped crying and looked at Eli unhappily. "There is actually a voice more beautiful than mine in this world?"
Eli really wanted to say, "Yes, and there are plenty of them," but he still wanted to get inside, so he could only endure the humiliation.
"Heh heh, how could that be? It's just that this method happens to protect your voice very well. You've been crying for so long already. If you don't take care of it, be careful not to cry your beautiful voice hoarse!"
