"Woohoo! Come and see!"

A cheerful shout came from the doorway. George and Fred, identical in appearance, stood there holding a bottle each.

Everyone in the Great Hall crowded around them. The two Weasleys had said earlier that they were preparing a way to fool the Goblet of Fire.

Now that they had shown up, they must have succeeded.

Curious students gathered around to see what trick the two troublemakers had come up with. They weren't counting on it working, but as long as someone tried, they were happy to watch.

"Cheers!" The twins linked arms in an exaggerated toast and drained their bottles.

As the potion took effect, they looked at each other. "You first?"

"You first."

"Together?"

"Deal!"

Hand in hand, they hopped into the circle in a ridiculous pose. The white line Dumbledore had drawn seemed to do nothing at all.

"Yes!" They slapped hands excitedly. The watching students marveled that the Weasley twins had actually pulled it off, and a few began itching to try it themselves.

"They can't possibly succeed." Hermione held a book in her arms, an unreadable smile on her face as she watched.

"Why not?" Eli came over.

"Look." Hermione pointed to the faintly flickering white circle. "Dumbledore drew that circle himself. Whatever potion they drank, they couldn't possibly fool it."

"Right, good point!"

George and Fred carefully dropped their slips of parchment into the Goblet of Fire. Its blue flames gave off no burning heat, and when the parchment entered them, nothing happened.

"Yes, we did it!" George and Fred hugged each other in excitement.

Boom!

The blue flames in the Goblet of Fire suddenly surged upward, as if someone had poured fuel on them. It was a terrifying sight.
