Victor fell into thought. Then a sharp glint flashed through those intimidating eyes of his. He picked up Eli's Butterbeer and drained it in one gulp.

"Hey, hey, hey, buy your own if you want one. Why are you drinking mine?" Eli's mouth twitched as he looked at the butter clinging to the sides of the glass.

"My treat." Victor set the glass down heavily on the table. "If you need our help with anything, just say the word when the time comes."

"Straightforward. You'll be the most suitable people for the job when the time comes. But before that, don't make yourselves too conspicuous, and don't openly oppose Fenrir," Eli said.

Victor considered it again, then nodded at Eli. "Other than that, I still need your potions."

"Don't worry. There'll be plenty."

Victor had already understood what Eli meant.

Fenrir was powerful. If Victor rushed to stand against him now, he would only invite endless suppression. In the end, Fenrir would swallow up all of Victor's remaining forces, adding another measure of strength to Voldemort.

If Victor stepped forward too early and caught the Ministry of Magic's attention, then between Voldemort and Victor, the Ministry would choose Victor—the softer target. Werewolves and Wizards were natural enemies, after all.

Victor did not support Voldemort and would even oppose him, so Voldemort naturally wanted nothing more than to get rid of him.

In the end, Victor might have to face a joint siege by both the Ministry of Magic and Voldemort.

So before they were strong enough, they had to stay hidden.

"Then here's to our success." Victor extended his hand toward Eli.

Eli shook his hand. "Remember to pay the bill," he said, then picked up his cloak and headed out.
