From far away, they could hear the trumpet fanfare coming from the lakeshore.
The five Champions were once again brought first to the tent where Ludo Bagman was waiting.
"Are you ready, young people?" Ludo wore a black overcoat, but the wasp emblem of his old team uniform could still be seen on his chest.
Inside the tent, they could still occasionally smell the cold wind blowing in from the lake, carrying a faint fishy odor.
The Champions looked somewhat serious, but at least they were doing far better than they had before the first task.
Ludo did not wait for all five Champions to answer. He was not embarrassed and simply continued.
"All right, after all these months, I trust you've found the clue hidden in the Golden Egg! If not... then all I can do is wish you good luck."
"I believe someone has already taken away your family members or close friends. Today, your task is to rescue the person most important to you from that lake—the Black Lake."
Standing at the tent entrance, Ludo leaned half his body outside and pointed toward the Black Lake.
"What? You actually took my sister into the lake?!" For some reason, Pheobe's face became terrifying. Her little face, white as a lily of the valley, looked almost distorted.
Harry was completely stunned. The goddess-like image he had of her instantly shattered into pieces.
He took a few steps back and whispered to Eli, "She looks like she's about to transform."
Eli nearly failed to hold back his laughter. Then he whispered, "When a Veela loses control of her emotions, she can even turn into a beast like a bird or wild animal... Pheobe like this is already pretty mild."
Eli remembered that in the movies from his previous life, the
