Hearing Dumbledore's words, Eli wasn't surprised in the slightest. The Ministry of Magic had never done anything sensible, though Eli was curious about what had happened to Dumbledore just now.
"You've just met with someone from the Ministry of Magic?" Eli asked.
Dumbledore looked at Eli, then leaned helplessly against the back of his chair. The former headmasters on the wall behind him all craned their heads to look over.
"Fudge specifically came to tell me not to reveal the squid incident this time. When the time comes to oppose Voldemort, the Ministry of Magic under his leadership might not take strong measures in time either."
Dumbledore rarely criticized the Ministry of Magic in front of Eli. Perhaps this time, he was simply too disappointed in the Ministry and Fudge.
A magical creature comparable to a Dragon had suddenly appeared at the competition grounds and attacked the participants, yet Fudge had traveled all the way there not to worry about the students' lives, but about whether the news had leaked.
A Ministry of Magic that treated human lives as worthless grass would never be able to stand against Voldemort and resist him effectively when he returned.
"I saw it coming. They even wanted to convict me back then. For all we know, once Voldemort shows up, we'll all become wanted criminals." Eli had seen through the Ministry of Magic's ways.
After watching the movies in his previous life, he had known that even when Death Eaters attacked the Quidditch World Cup and Harry Potter, one of the Triwizard Tournament Champions, was even beaten badly by Voldemort, the Ministry of Magic led by Fudge still refused to believe that Voldemort had truly returned.
Dumbledore chuckled at Eli's words, then beckoned to one side. A storage cabinet suddenly split open, and an
