The Final Task

The bloody storm in the potion market gradually subsided as several long-established companies submitted, but everyone knew that beneath the lake waters that sunlight could barely penetrate, countless undercurrents still surged.

Hogwarts seemed to be wrapped in a similar atmosphere. Students were always whispering about something, hurrying along as though some greatly anticipated event awaited them.

Unlike the other students' excitement, the Champions chosen by the Goblet of Fire grew increasingly tense. Krum, who often ran by the lake, had finally stopped turning around to chase off the group of fans trailing behind him.

This time, Eli no longer seemed so different. Harry no longer felt out of place standing before Eli, because they had both started to feel nervous.

Harry worried about the fear of the unknown in the final task. Since the competition began, he had encountered dragons and giant squids. No one could guarantee that the final task would not contain some monstrously vicious creature.

Still, it was the final task at last. Harry felt a certain relief at the thought of being freed from it. He no longer wanted to bear the title of Champion.

But Eli knew that this final task was the beginning of the darkness they would all have to face.

Voldemort was about to return, along with that pack of lunatic Death Eaters.

He could not guarantee that someone would not lose their life during the final task. Harry, as the protagonist of his previous life, at least had some plot armor, but Cedric had indeed died in the film of Eli's previous life.

Eli could only do his best to keep anyone else from touching the Goblet of Fire.

There was only one day left before the competition began, yet there seemed to be nothing to do that day. As for
