Several of them raced all the way to the bathroom, where Myrtle was sobbing by herself.
"Myrtle, forgive my rudeness, but could you tell me how you died back then?"
Myrtle stopped crying. Seeing that it was a handsome little boy speaking, she immediately put on a shy expression.
"Oh, of course. That day, I was crying here alone because Olive Hornby had mocked me for wearing glasses. Then I heard someone come in. From the voice, it sounded like a boy, and I wanted to tell him to get out at once."
"Then, when I came out, I saw two horrible yellow eyes! And then I died."
As Myrtle recalled the scene, fear appeared on her face.
"Right there."
She pointed at the sink beside her. That was the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets.
"Thank you."
"Harry, use Parseltongue. Say something and imagine the tap is a snake!"
Harry stared at the rusty tap and made a hissing sound in his throat.
Eli heard it clearly. Harry had said, "Open."
A rumbling sound suddenly came from the sink. It slowly parted to either side, gradually revealing a bottomless pipe.
The moment they looked down, they felt a chill run through them. It was like a gaping, blood-filled maw waiting to devour someone.
Eli cast Lumos into the pipe, lighting it up. There was nothing below except a bit of filth.
The pipe curved in places, so they would not be smashed to death by the fall.
"This is it. I'll go down first, then you follow."
"Be careful."
Eli leaped down, sliding through the pipe at tremendous speed.
Harry and Ron Weasley's voices came from behind him.
They fell for a long time. The pipe was clearly incredibly long, and the Chamber of Secrets lay very deep underground.
