Background / History

Jia Xing Tian was a Peak Dou Emperor and a central pillar of the Gama Imperial Family. Aware that his influence was limited outside the Northwest Continent, he was deeply concerned with preserving the imperial family's position against both internal factions and foreign threats. 8 9

When Fa Wutian became a Two-Star Dou Master and Second-Rank Alchemist at age twelve, Jia viewed him as a potential threat to royal authority. He refused to harm Fa directly because doing so could alienate Fama and push the Alchemist Association toward the Yunlan Sect. Instead, he attempted to bind Fa Wutian to the imperial family through an engagement to his granddaughter, Yao Ye. 8 9

The proposed alliance failed when both Fa Wutian and Yao Ye rejected it. Following Yao Ye's advice, Jia reluctantly agreed that befriending Fa Wutian was safer than coercing someone with such potential. 10

After Fa Wutian returned years later as a Four-Star Dou Emperor and established a new Nine Heavens Pavilion outside the imperial capital, Jia regarded the faction as a possible second Yunlan Sect. Ignoring Yao Ye's warning to remain uninvolved, he accused the Fa Family of coveting imperial power and attacked Fa Wutian. 47 48

Jia's attack devastated much of the newly built pavilion but failed to defeat Fa Wutian. Yun Yun prevented Fa from immediately killing him, after which Jia accepted a condition: if he could survive three of Fa Wutian's attacks, Fa would spare him. 48 49

He barely endured Nine Heavens Dragon's Roar, which destroyed his Mystic Phoenix Ward and left him severely wounded. Fa Wutian's second attack, Spirit-Burning Annihilation, devoured both Jia's Filthy Earth Phoenix Strike and his remaining Douqi before reducing him to ashes. 49 50

Personality

Jia Xing Tian was politically calculating and cautious when faced with threats he could not safely eliminate. His marriage proposal for Yao Ye was intended to secure Fa Wutian's loyalty and weaken the Yunlan Sect without open conflict. 8 9

He was also stubborn and fear-driven. Although he eventually accepted Yao Ye's recommendation to befriend Fa Wutian, he later acted on his fear that Nine Heavens Pavilion would threaten the imperial family, escalating a political concern into a fatal conflict. 10 47 48

Despite his mistakes, Jia retained a strong sense of duty toward the Gama Empire. Facing Fa Wutian's punishment, he fought to survive not only for himself but because he believed the imperial family still needed his protection. He asked Yun Yun to tell Yao Ye not to seek revenge if he died. 49
