A Single-Chapter Rant

This was the first standalone chapter I had ever posted, so indulge me while I argued with a certain reader.

ID: Zero-One, let me make this clear first: I didn't need a reader like you who had neither brains nor eyes.

I wrote about going to the continent to take the Slaughter City trial set by the Asura God, and you immediately called me Tang San's bootlicker???

Even after I explained why I was going there, you still called me a bootlicker.

Anyone who had read my previous Douluo novel knew that I would never suck up to the protagonist. What I hated most was people accusing me of bootlicking the protagonist without knowing a thing.

Oh, so as long as my protagonist was within one planet's distance of Tang San, that made him a bootlicker???

Get lost!

Why would I delete your comment? I'd hang you up and argue with you directly!

I had already taken the Sea Godhood. Anyone with eyes could see that the Asura Godhood couldn't possibly go to Tang San either. Oh, did I have to screw Tang San at the very beginning, or dismember him from the start, then slaughter everyone related to Tang San like some overpowered power-fantasy protagonist before it counted as not bootlicking?

If you were sick, get treatment. Even if you weren't sick, go get checked anyway. Maybe they'd find something!

Because I had gotten too used to writing invincible-protagonist stories before, the early pacing ended up being too fast. For the sake of the later plot, I could only hold the protagonist's level back a little.

But there was nothing I could do about that. Tang San had innate full soul power, twin martial souls, and the Mysterious Heaven Technique. He rose sixteen levels in six years, then gained more than ten levels in less than three years, and became a god outright in the final few years...

Feng Xiaotian, who also had innate full soul power—what level was he during the Continental Soul Master Tournament? What level was he when he appeared again?

There was simply no comparison, okay? Tang San was an unreasonable cheat. Feng Xiaotian was what someone with legitimate innate full soul power was supposed to look like.

Another reader also brought up having two godhoods. I thought it over carefully and realized there was no real need for it.

Tang San had two godhoods because he needed to face the Rakshasa God and the Angel God. The protagonist had no reason to stop Spirit Hall from unifying the continent, and Sea God Island was sitting right there—would you dare come?

So two people each having one godhood was better than one person having two. That was what I thought.

Of course, I would seriously consider the suggestion. If I came up with any plot involving two godhoods later on, I might change my mind.
