The Demon Subduing Division operates across the Limitless Dynasty. While provincial Prefects oversee military and political affairs, the Division dispatches personnel into rural areas to handle disturbances caused by spirits and demonic creatures. 6

Old Master Wang Xiaoyao previously assisted the Division in capturing a Heretical Cultivator, suffering severe and irreversible injuries in the process. His past aid left lower-ranking Division cultivators indebted to him. 7 11

By the events in Yuan Province, demon disasters have overwhelmed available personnel. Centurion Zhao Changyuan's elite subordinates were transferred elsewhere, leaving him largely dependent on Patrolman Li Si and outside cultivators. 23 25 The strain later extends across the Nine Provinces, with the Division's stronger cultivators deployed to dangerous locations and unable to reinforce every emergency. 39 57 109

Qinglin City demon crisis

Centurion Zhao requested Wang Lang's help after the Demon Revealing Mirrors in Qinglin City were destroyed and Liu Manor was massacred. With Yuan Province headquarters unable to spare reinforcements, Zhao organized patrols with local rogue cultivators. 23 25

Wei Qing assembled a force of Division patrolmen, Zhao Changyuan, Li Si, Wang Lang, and three external reinforcements. She promised major contribution credit to participating personnel and artifacts or manuals to outside helpers. 40 41

Cai Family Village containment

After Wang Lang withdrew from Cai Family Village due to Cai Kun's abnormal undying mechanism, the Division expanded a blockade around the site. 82 83

Duan Qianshan, an early Profound Connection Realm Deputy Commander from the Central Province Division, entered the black mist despite warnings and was killed instantly. 83 The incident severely injured the Division Master and confirmed the threat remained beyond ordinary response. 86

Yong'an City and the Profound Nether Grotto-Heaven

Yong'an City's branch faced a suspected blood-sacrifice operation intended to force open the Profound Nether Grotto-Heaven. The branch had only Lan Meng and Deputy Thousand Households Zhou Mang as Spirit Condensation cultivators; Zhou went missing after tracking Heretical Cultivators, leaving roughly thirty Qi Induction cultivators to cover the city. 105

Lan Meng reported the crisis, but higher-level reinforcements could not be mobilized quickly because the Division's strongest forces were stationed at strategic locations elsewhere. 109
