Tenbohimei!
The ocular technique first awakened by Uchiha Fugaku, passed through Danzo and Itachi, and inherited by Sasuke Uchiha had its Shikigami power unleashed against Ōtsutsuki Shiki for the first time by Ubiji.
The ocular technique could inflict real damage on a target within a genjutsu, but killing the opponent inevitably left the user's actual body in an extremely weakened state. It was therefore only suitable for one-on-one combat or situations where teammates could provide support.
Its Shikigami effect, however, eliminated the weakening caused by killing an opponent, making it a true divine killing technique!
Tenbohimei's Shikigami was practically a cheat. Unfortunately... it required the target to fall under a genjutsu first, which severely limited its usefulness. Powerful opponents were immune to genjutsu to varying degrees, and consuming a Chakra Fruit increased that immunity exponentially. This was also why Yu almost never used genjutsu in his later stages!
Even now that Yu had become the One True God, his genjutsu only worked on opponents up to the level of the Progenitor Gods!
But the Root King was an exception!
