History

The Lin Clan is a cultivation family of the Great Yan Dynasty with a history of roughly a thousand years. It was formerly regarded as a first-rate family within the dynasty, while its rival, the Xu Clan, was considered substantially weaker. The clan is notably united: Lin Feng describes its elders as having treated him with care, and the family paid a great price to send him to the Limitless Sacred Land. 45 46 48

Its position collapsed into crisis after Xu Junting of the Xu Clan became a core disciple of the Tyrant Blade Sect. Backed by that sect, the Xu Clan rose rapidly in influence and began pursuing control over the Great Yan Dynasty. Because of the longstanding blood feud between the two clans, Lin Zhan expected the Lin Clan to be targeted for destruction. 45 46 50

Believing Lin Feng to still be only a Registered Disciple, Lin Zhan wrote to him asking for the help of even a single Outer Disciple of the Limitless Sacred Land. He was willing to surrender half of the clan’s resources for such protection. 45 46

Lin Feng returned instead, revealing himself as an Inner Disciple with combat power comparable to the Dao Condensation Realm. His arrival transformed the clan’s despair into confidence, though the Xu Clan soon escalated by sending two Tyrant Blade Sect disciples to injure Lin Clan elders and threaten a massacre. 47 48

Lin Feng destroyed both invaders with sword strikes, saving the elders in the main hall. Afterward, he declared that the Lin Clan would no longer remain on the defensive: it would confront the Xu Clan and rise into one of the Great Yan Dynasty’s foremost aristocratic houses. 49 50

The Lin Clan subsequently marched on the Xu Clan alongside Lin Feng. Their arrival shattered Xu Junting’s gathering of allied aristocratic forces, and Lin Feng killed the Tyrant Blade Sect’s Dao Condensation Realm grey-robed elder. The intervention of Elder Zhu and the Limitless Sacred Land destroyed the Xu Clan’s attempted dominance and forced the Great Yan Imperial House and previously hostile great families to submit to the Lin Clan’s new status. 51 52 55

After the conflict, Lin Feng formally declared the Lin Clan the supreme clan of the Great Yan Dynasty, a declaration immediately accepted by the Imperial Ancestor. Lin Zhan was then authorized to purge or punish the aristocratic families that had insulted, oppressed, or allied against the Lin Clan during the Xu Clan crisis. 57 58

Lin Feng later entrusted Xuer and the Great Yan Imperial House with protecting the clan’s position after he returned to the Limitless Sacred Land. By the outbreak of the all-out war with the Ten Extremes Demon Sect, the imperial family remained nominally in place, but the Lin Clan had become the dynasty’s true ruling power. 63 155

Organization and Known Members

• Lin Zhan — Clan head and Lin Feng’s father. He led the clan through the Xu Clan crisis, initially sought outside protection for the family, and later received authority from Lin Feng to deal with the hostile noble families. His cultivation is at the Ninth Layer of the Sea of Reincarnation Realm. 46 50 58
• Madam Lin — Lin Feng’s mother. She retained faith in Lin Feng and the Limitless Sacred Land even while the clan faced destruction. 46 47
