Overview

The Limitless Sacred Land is a premier cultivation power with a living Saint presiding over it. Even Venerable Realm cultivators, figures capable of destroying dynasties outside the sect, serve as elders within its ranks. 1 8 167

Its authority extends throughout its territory and beyond: official disciples are treated as honored guests by major dynasties, while the sect investigates when its disciples disappear outside its grounds. 1

The Sacred Land maintains a longstanding rivalry with the Ten Extremes Demon Sect, another top Azurebillow Domain power. The conflict intensifies after Demon Sect disciples massacre towns within Sacred Land territory and use ambushes to hunt its disciples. 4 28 32

Following the Undying Ancient Battlefield expedition, the Sacred Land's younger generation initially appeared weaker than those of rival sacred-land-level factions. The emergence of Lin Feng, Duan Jingtao, Xuanyuan Che, and Ye Lishuang subsequently restored much of its confidence and created a new generation of exceptional successors. 119 152 190 192

The Ten Extremes Demon Sect later escalates the rivalry into the Hundred-Dynasty War. Although the Sacred Land suffers catastrophic territorial, civilian, and disciple losses, it survives the initial attempt at annihilation and continues the conflict under the leadership of the Limitless Sacred Lord and Saint Hong Xi. 154 168 169 190

Notable Sequence and successor figures

• Xuanyuan Che — A foremost Sequence Disciple associated with the legendary spear Star-Splitter. He defeated two Sixth-Level Great Ability Realm Demon Sect elders and severely wounded the Demon Sect’s second-ranked Sequence before losing to Lin Feng in the Saint Heir battle. 190 192 200
• Ye Lishuang — The second-ranked Sequence Disciple, whose Spirit Fox Bloodline possesses powerful enchantment effects. She killed numerous Demon Sect elders and several Great Ability Realm experts before being defeated alongside Xuanyuan Che by Lin Feng. 190 192 200

Recruitment and Assessment

The annual outer sect disciple examination draws roughly one million registered disciples, along with candidates from nearby imperial dynasties. Only the strongest ten thousand entrants are admitted to the outer sect. 1 8

Registered disciples receive only three attempts at the examination; failing all three results in permanent disqualification. 1

The assessment has two known stages:

Known first-place examination rewards include three seventh-tier pills, ten seventh-tier spirit herbs, one million Low-Grade Origin Stones, and a Sword Tempering Pool quota. 17

Elder Zhu may bypass the ordinary outer-sect progression for exceptional talent, as demonstrated by Lin Feng’s direct admission to the inner sect after winning the assessment. 17

Facilities and Resources

Cultivation Arts Pavilion

The Cultivation Arts Pavilion stores martial arts and cultivation methods under strict rank-based access rules. Registered disciples may enter only the third underground level, while advanced sword arts may be reserved for inner disciples. 2 7

The pavilion’s elder can recommend dangerous high-tier techniques and provide resources to promising cultivators, but access remains dependent on a disciple’s standing and demonstrated potential. 3

Sword Tempering Pool

The Sword Tempering Pool is an abyss-like sacred site refined by a Sword Dao Saint. It contains tens of thousands of spirit swords once used by that Saint, each retaining traces of Dao resonance. 19

Disciples use consciousness to communicate with and awaken the swords. Their rewards are determined by the number and quality of swords awakened. 19 21

The pool can respond to extraordinary sword-path talent on a far greater scale than ordinary awakenings. Lin Feng awakened 145 fifth-tier spirit swords and received a wisp of Sword Saint Dao resonance from an ancient presence within the pool. 20 21

Cultivation caves

The inner sect’s cultivation caves have ninety-nine levels. The first level cultivates at twice the speed of the outside world, while the ninety-ninth reaches one hundred times that speed. 25

• Residence levels are claimed through challenges against their current occupants. 25 26
• Successful consecutive challenges grant stacking Origin Stone rewards. 26 27
• The ninetieth through ninety-ninth levels are occupied by the Ten Great Sequences. 25
• The highest-tier cultivation abode is reserved for the Sacred Land’s strongest disciples; Lin Feng received it after his rise to Sequence-level strength. 189

Internal Affairs Hall

The Internal Affairs Hall distributes regular resources, issues missions, receives enemy bounties, and exchanges contribution points for treasures, pills, Origin Stones, martial arts, and divine abilities. 26

It also manages mission compensation. After Lin Feng proved that the Demon Sect targets had concealed their true cultivation, the hall raised his bounty from ten million to fifteen million Low-Grade Origin Stones. 33

Scripture Repository

The Scripture Repository stores divine abilities, including Venerable-grade and Mighty-grade techniques. Mighty-grade Divine Abilities are normally restricted, and private transmission of them is punishable by death. 43

The Sacred Land also preserves high-level inheritances, including Saint-grade cultivation arts and divine abilities. Saint Hong Xi granted Lin Feng the Nine Heavens Thunder-Controlling Art, a nine-level lightning cultivation art whose ninth level may rival Quasi-Emperor-grade power. 188 189

Sacred artifacts

The Sacred Mirror is a major inherited artifact wielded by the Limitless Sacred Lord. It can transport disciples, reveal battlefield records, and project overwhelming power sufficient to deter other Holy Lord Realm figures. 116 117 151

The Sacred Land’s Supreme Elders also possess sacred artifacts that can be used jointly against Half-Saint-level enemies, although these proved insufficient to decisively overcome the Ten Extremes Demon Lord while he was empowered by the Myriad Demons Soul-Devouring Formation. 169

Treasure vault

The Sacred Land possesses an immense treasury containing Origin Stones, high-grade spiritual herbs, medicines, pills, cultivation arts, and other inherited resources accumulated across generations. 200 201

After becoming Saint Heir, Lin Feng was granted unrestricted use of the treasure vault’s cultivation resources for thirty days. Xuanyuan Che and Ye Lishuang each received three days of access as runners-up in the Saint Heir battle. 200 201

Rules and Protection

• Registered disciples are not considered full members of the Sacred Land and have restricted access to cultivation resources. 1 2
• Official outer and inner disciples possess recognized status; harming or provoking them carries the weight of the Sacred Land’s reputation. 1 48 49
• The sect protects valuable disciples during dangerous periods. When Lin Feng leaves for the Great Yan Dynasty amid rising tension with the Ten Extremes Demon Sect, the Supreme Elder orders Elder Zhu to protect him in secret. 45
• Sect rules protect newly assigned inner-sect residences from challenge for seven days. 18
• Cultivation methods, particularly divine abilities, cannot be privately taught to others. 43
• Identity tokens allow the Sacred Land’s leadership to issue emergency instructions to disciples across its territory, including evacuation and regrouping orders during wartime. 171
• The Limitless Sacred Lord treats attempts to seize, interrogate, or soul-search a Sacred Land disciple as grounds for all-out war when the disciple is under his protection. 151
• Among sacred-land-level factions, the informal prohibition on killing is applied primarily to ordinary disciples. Exceptional prodigies may kill one another without necessarily causing a major factional war if the death was not caused by deliberate hunting or conspiracy. 63

Conflict with the Ten Extremes Demon Sect

The Ten Extremes Demon Sect has infiltrated the Limitless Sacred Land before, including the spy Zhao Xu, who entered the Sacred Land while concealing his allegiance. 4 5

The Demon Sect later escalates its operations by destroying several towns within Sacred Land territory, sacrificing inhabitants to cultivate demonic arts, and setting traps for responding Sacred Land disciples. 27 28 32

After learning that multiple disciples have vanished in these ambushes, Elder Song orders the termination of all missions related to the Ten Extremes Demon Sect. 32

The hostility is generational and has become inseparable from bloodshed. The Demon Sect believes that the lost Ten Extremes Star-Absorbing Demon Art is held by a Limitless Sacred Land disciple and orders its members to capture, torture, or soul-search Sacred Land disciples encountered outside its territory. 116

During the Undying Ancient Battlefield expedition, the two factions’ leaders nearly clash after the Ten Extremes Demon Lord attempts to expose the art’s wielder among the Sacred Land’s disciples. The Limitless Sacred Lord retaliates against Demon Sect core disciples, and the confrontation is only restrained by other Sacred Lords. 117 118

Hundred-Dynasty War

The Ten Extremes Demon Sect openly declares war on the Limitless Sacred Land, spreading the conflict through hundreds of dynasties, including the Great Yan Dynasty. Venerable Realm cultivators and Sequence Disciples enter the fighting, transforming the struggle into the Hundred-Dynasty War. 154 155

The Sacred Land’s planned counteroffensive suffers a devastating betrayal when roughly one-third of its allied sects and dynasties attack from within. The betrayal kills more than fifty Venerable Realm experts and seven Great Ability Realm experts, with the Tyrant Blade Sect playing a major role. 159

The Demon Sect then activates the forbidden Myriad Demons Soul-Devouring Formation across the Sacred Land’s territory. The formation massacres civilians, suppresses the cultivation and combat strength of Sacred Land members, and channels the harvested life force into the Ten Extremes Demon Lord. 167 168 169

Although Saint Hong Xi attacks the formation and fights the Ten Extremes Demon Sect’s Saint, Xie Qiong, in the void, the formation cannot be destroyed before it devastates one-third of the Sacred Land’s territory and kills hundreds of millions of inhabitants. 167 168

The Ten Extremes Demon Lord reaches the Peak Half-Saint Realm through the formation and orders the extermination of every Sacred Land disciple and elder. At least two Sequence Disciples and more than ten Core Disciples are killed during the resulting hunt. 169 170

The Limitless Sacred Lord orders all surviving Sequence, Core, and Inner Disciples to retreat and gather at the Great Yan Dynasty, the only major territory not yet occupied by the enemy at that time. 171

Despite the losses, the Sacred Land’s elite successors later regain battlefield momentum. Ye Lishuang kills numerous Demon Sect elders and Great Ability Realm experts, while Xuanyuan Che kills two Sixth-Level Great Ability Realm elders and severely wounds the Demon Sect’s second Sequence. 190 192
