The Healed Body

In seven days, Uchiha Yuu's body had fully recovered.

As layer after layer of bandages beneath him was removed, tender new skin was revealed. Combined with his pale complexion, he looked like someone recovering from a serious illness.

But that was only an appearance. Once his body erupted with power, he could surpass ordinary people several times over. After prolonged exposure to Radioactive Element, his body had become fundamentally different from that of an ordinary person.

Uchiha Yuu even suspected that he was no longer human.

Standing again, Yuu was overwhelmed with excitement. He clenched his fists, savoring the changes in his body to the fullest.

In the withered forest, a black shadow flashed past the treetops. Uchiha Yuu stood at the highest point, able to take in a vast stretch of the forest.

"Smack! Smack! Smack!"

Leaves drifted down as the kunai in his hand flew out in rapid succession. With Teacher Chishu's corrections, his kunai-throwing movements had become increasingly standard, allowing him to conserve more strength while improving his accuracy.

With his current strength, if Shuiyun dared stand before him, a kunai would instantly pierce through his body.

With a leap, he landed beneath the tree. His control over his body was growing stronger, while the Radioactive Element within him had reached a subtle balance, no longer causing damage to his body.

Another change was his eyes.

Perhaps it was this subtle transformation that had caused the Uchiha bloodline within him to completely awaken.

"I told you Lady Tsunade could heal your legs. If I'd known, I would have asked Lady Tsunade to treat you earlier."

Kushina assumed Tsunade was the reason Uchiha Yuu could stand again, thinking that Lady Tsunade's Medical Ninjutsu had improved even further.

Surprised as he was, Minato Namikaze was clearly more tactful than Kushina. Knowing that kindness should be repaid, he knew they could not help Tsunade much, but he still made a fitting suggestion.

"After class, we should buy some gifts and visit Lady Tsunade."

"We can go together. I haven't seen Lady Tsunade in ages!"

Yuu did not reveal the real reason. A clever misunderstanding could help him avoid a great deal of trouble.

News of his body's recovery caused quite a stir at school. Especially those who were close to him, all came over to offer congratulations.

Even Chishu asked several times, thanking Lady Tsunade's Medical Ninjutsu as well.

With his ninja talent, now that his physical defect was gone, he would certainly become a qualified ninja in the future.

"Yuu, you can spend more time practicing the Three Basic Techniques lately."

"You need to master these most basic things properly if you want to become a qualified ninja, inherit the Will of Fire, and contribute to the village!"

It had to be said that Chishu was a loyal supporter of the Third Hokage. He also taught every child with care. Whether they came from commoner families or great clans, as long as they came to the Ninja Academy, they were his students.

As a teacher, he had fulfilled his duties with utmost dedication. Yuu had not expected him to go this far.

Every member of the Uchiha family possessed Fire Release chakra. Chishu believed Yuu would surely have use for it, so he had prepared this scroll for him.

"Thank you, Teacher."

The scroll might be low-level, but mastering ninjutsu was an essential means for a ninja.

If he had any bonds with the village, there were only a handful of people, and the teacher before him was one of them.

"After school today, you don't need to leave right away. I'll teach you how to use ninjutsu."

Chishu treated teaching by word and example as his code of conduct. A sacred look appeared on his face, born of a teacher's mission.

There were three geniuses in the class he taught.

Minato Namikaze, Kushina, and Yuu before him.

Unfortunately, he was only an ordinary Chunin. The ninjutsu he knew was limited to Fire Release, so he could only teach Yuu the simplest techniques.

Elsewhere, Qian Xishou, who had been outside recording the daily lives of these young geniuses, watched Yuu walk out of the classroom. His face gained a few traces of gravity and delight.

"A genius of the Uchiha family who isn't favored by his own clan. Someone like him is best suited to join Root and serve Lord Danzo!"

Qian Xishou had gathered information on many talented youths. The Uchiha boy stood at the very top of the list. The two words "pending" that had originally been written beside his name were crossed out with a line.

He was in no hurry over the future paths of these geniuses. Most of them would join the ANBU, and then they could naturally serve Lord Danzo.

During this time, Uchiha Yuu had constantly felt that someone was watching him, but with his strength, he could not discover them at all.

After all, this was not the forest where he lived. Only the faint traces of Radioactive Element scattered around allowed him to sense some shadows lingering outside the Ninja Academy.

At first, he thought these people had come to protect and monitor Kushina. But after he left the school, several people followed behind him as well, making him more wary.
