The End Beneath the Rain

The rain was still falling as Uchiha Yuu set out early beneath an umbrella.

No matter which clan they belonged to, everyone wore black today. Led by their respective clan heads, they arrived at the cemetery.

All eyes were fixed ahead, where the Third Hokage stood.

The atmosphere was especially heavy today. Many injured ninjas had attended the funeral, and Uchiha Yuu stood at the very back, in the Uchiha Clan's section.

Rows upon rows of gravestones represented fallen comrades. Uchiha Yuu looked toward the front, where the heads of every clan had gathered around the Third Hokage as he delivered the eulogy.

It was nothing more than mourning those who had died in the war, followed by another round of preaching about the Will of Fire.

Uchiha Yuu lowered his head slightly, hiding the disdain in his eyes. The Will of Fire should have meant fewer people dying, not more—especially when none of the village's higher-ups had fallen, while the great clans and ordinary civilians had suffered staggering casualties.

From this alone, Uchiha Yuu felt that the Will of Fire had been completely twisted. Even if the Hokage did not need to go to the battlefield and was more responsible for commanding from the rear and holding the village together, the two Hokage advisors were not elderly. They were still in their prime, yet they had remained holed up in the village from beginning to end.

Not to mention Danzo, who only held everyone back. The already heavy-hearted Uchiha Yuu felt a few more sparks of anger rise within him.

"How ridiculous..."

Who knew how many people had died for those parasites of Konoha, only for their lives to be summed up with the laughable phrase, Will of Fire.

When he looked to the right, he saw that Orochimaru
