Looking down from his position, he noticed that some of them looked exactly alike.
Only then did he understand that this group before him was merely bait, meant to draw out whoever was behind them.
After a moment's thought, Uchiha Yuu determined that the plan had been discovered. Fortunately, he was not the only one targeting them this time; Konoha outside was the true main force behind this mission.
"They discovered that Konoha was pulling the strings behind the scenes. What does that have to do with me, Uchiha Yuu?"
He bore no psychological burden whatsoever. In the end, Kumogakure would only hold a grudge against Konoha, and what would happen afterward would not differ much from what Uchiha Yuu had expected.
Either the Third Raikage would take retaliatory measures on the Land of Fire front, escalating the intensity of the war once more, or he would redeploy part of his forces and attempt to join Sunagakure in destroying Hatake Sakumo's ninja troops.
No matter which of those two situations occurred, Uchiha Yuu would be able to reap the benefits without lifting a finger. He only needed to wait until both sides had fought each other to near exhaustion, then the Enlightenment Organization could smoothly send people in to take over Kumogakure's mission system and harvest some of the wealthy clients posting missions!
It was a guaranteed profit with no risk, and someone was even helping him take the blame. A smile could not help appearing at the corner of Uchiha Yuu's lips. Once the plan began, both sides would lose. Only he could gain the greatest profit from it.
Coming back to his senses, Uchiha Yuu looked at the Cloud Ninja still desperately searching for an exit, his face filled with even more cruelty. He pressed his hands together.
