The relocation had come unexpectedly.
Hatake Sakumo did not think Yuu would deliberately bring up moving the headquarters. After Sunagakure's previous harassment of the front lines, they had inexplicably withdrawn completely. There was no longer any sign of them along the borders of the Land of Wind.
This had led him to believe that Sunagakure intended to withdraw from the Third Shinobi World War. Combined with what Uchiha Yuu had said, Yuu must have known something he did not.
Rather than immediately agreeing to Uchiha Yuu's proposal, he pulled over a chair and had him sit down so they could discuss it properly.
"I don't know where you got this information, but relocating the camp is an extremely serious matter. We need to wait a while and confirm it is safe before we can move."
"However, I still trust your judgment. I'll prepare to lead a group of shinobi to intercept Kumogakure."
There was one point Hatake Sakumo wholeheartedly agreed with. Sunagakure was more like a pack of petty opportunists. Even if given the chance, they would not dare attack recklessly, because both sides knew Konoha had stationed shinobi forces here not out of fear that Sunagakure would invade Konoha, but because they believed Sunagakure might ally with the other villages.
To put it bluntly, Konoha had never considered Sunagakure an opponent on the same level.
Kumogakure, on the other hand, had always prioritized war and military strength, making it the greatest threat. Its village's economy might have developed slowly, but when it came to warfare and invasion, they were outright barbarians. If they were allowed to run wild without restraint, Konoha would suffer tremendous losses.
"That works too. Send out a group of shinobi first, and have the wounded escorted as they are relocated."
The reason Uchiha Yuu intended
